Its all pretty simple.
Broom, can't and should not challenge an umpires decision. He should walk once the decision's made. No fault there.
Umpire, didn't see the hands break the stumps rather than the ball. But decision has to be made. At full speed, in real time, nobody really questioned it. Umpire has some blame, and had a shocker.
Ponting, defends his player. Even now he knows he is wrong, or least he should. If he doesn't then he has a problem. But defend his player and shelter them as much as possible, that's his job. In private however, he should be giving haddin some advice.
Haddin, well, it happened fast. He knows he knocked the stumps. He has not long to think about it. Decides he must make the decision for the team, might have some doubt in his mind. Fine. Sees the replay, think about it and then should say, I'm wrong, sorry. But he doesn't. What a dick!
I'm over here in NZ. Kiwis win the match and give it to me. But I can take that. We'll win the next I'll tell them and we normally do, and I give twice as much back. But Haddin, behaves like that, I skulk off to the corner and pretend I didn't see the match and can't comment. What an embassment!
