Yeah and EVEN IF Jake was a tad biased, Game First's analysis of the way he trained with the Firs Grade squad was good enough to prove to me that this kid wants to play First Grade for us.

And he's probably good enough to do it.

I also have Bigger raps on Blake Green.

Well between Smith, Green and Perenara it looks as though we're set in the future for the halves.

Now, if only we could keep them... :roll

Don't forget John Morris.

Yeah good point. Morris too.

But if the rumours that he'll be heading back to Newcastle after his Parra stint is true, then ...

despite losing out in signing a "test" player i am glad as i feel Leuluai would have only confused the positions even more than what there is now. while he may be currently playing "test" footy for NZ i think it would be fair to say that there are few teams in the NRL that he would be a walk up start.

brian needs to put his faith in one player at the start of the year and stick with him.

please, not another season of chopping and changing.

If Eels can get a good halfback (& a consistent one at that) I have no doubt that Parra can be as dominant as they were in 2001.

I don't wanna blow smoke up my own players arse, but as Voss said when Dragons faced Eels this year, a good signing for you guys would have been Matthew Head

apparently Smith did look at him or atleast offered him a contract.

Your entitled to blow smoke up your arse about this kid, I'm a big fan of this kid and rate him very highly, I'm predicting he'll be best halfback in the game within 3 to 4 seasons, that depends on the form of Matt Orford at the time.

I think both these players are gonna be stars, but to be perfectly honest I think Firman is gonna be better than Head.

I can't wait til the ANZAC Day match, Head vs Firman
