Just think if the NRL let this slide..

No more schools would allow NRL visits for 1.

Sponsors would not take to kindly to it plus the dogs dont have a sponsor..

This. These idiots are going to cop it because the nrl cannot avoid hammering these morons purely because of how bad it looks and I have no problem with that

Yeah nah, if players are going to high schools for work in the community then do exactly that. You don't groom school kids whilst you're there as well.

It's pretty gross and a very bad look if that's what occurred.

So much this.

Why? If she’s consenting and of legal age, what’s the issue? Btw, there has been no mention of “rooting”.

These guys are barely out of school and LU is suddenly the old prude home lmao.

NRL: We welcome men, women, children, gay, indigenous but getting it on with someone of the opposite sex is just not on.

Like I said, if it was at some official thing, then fine, punish them, if not, there’s two way worse things let go just in the last offseason.

You are an absolute dickhead if you see nothing wrong with what they did.

Those players would do a code of conduct course every year. I would think that high on that courses agenda for football players would be dealings with the opposite sex while on club duties.

To pick up and have sex with two schoolgirls is total utter stupidity and a horrible look for their employer. Could you imagine how much worse this could have been if they were underage?

NRL has to throw the rulebook at them here.

Some of these fans still think if you didn’t break a law you didn’t do anything wrong. Probably the worst part about this stand down rule.

The sad thing is that the bulldogs club actually had a rule not to bring back girls and then the players actually chose School girls to break the rule.

What if you’re a school principal and you’re organising a talk from your local RL club
You would now think twice about it on the off chance one of their very stupid players will pick up your school captain or something

A few parents will probably ask for it to be cancelled

Imagine if your a parent and you send your daughter to school and there she is met by some horny footy players with to much time on their hands and she ends getting f**ked by them in a hotel.

If someone is able to successfully make the legal argument that these two, while at the school, were acting as teachers, they’re about to be in a shitload of trouble.

f**king NRL players are the dumbest people on the planet.

I didn’t realise when the news broke that they had actually met them at a school during a work event. I couldn’t understand the overreaction to what seemed a bit of a non event that shouldn’t have gone further than the bulldogs HR dept.
Obviously I was giving these dickheads too much credit again.

A simple IQ test would smash that argument

Heck, it might prove they have the mentality of a primary school kid and could help them

That’s the only inappropriate action I can see based on the information available. Participating in official team duties and going around the corner for some kissy kissy.

Inappropriate, but no complaints nor illegality according to NRL360 (yet they were acting like it was so disgraceful). No illegality means girls must’ve been at least 16yo.

People acting like it’s so bad for these “men” to get with these girls, remember these guys are in their early 20s. Not exactly cradle robbers.

It’s a bad look and they should be punished, however a guy actually facing a indecent assault charge can play, so too a guy that allegedly assaulted a cop or cops. I know what’s worse, an actual crime or alleged crime.

the fact that you cant see anything wrong here speaks volumes, perhaps you should head back to your cave

Like everyone else I do not know the facts and Iam working off what we have been told by a heap of jurnos who do not have a good track record of reporting facts.

Anyway it would appear the Dogs actually were the ones that forced the stand downs, and the way I see it they had to act fast and hard as they are knee deep in major sponsorship negotiations. Of course they had to also get a very strong message out about what club culture is all about.

In comparison so a lot of other things that have happened in the off season this is down the scale a tad. In my books they showed poor judgement and gross stupidity and the humiliation and embarrassment, coupled with a few week suspension should be enough.

f**k me there are some pelicans in this thread.

It doesn't matter one f**king bit that they were above the age of consent. They met them when they were students in a school on an official visit.

They were in a position of power and they were trusted to treat the kids at the school properly. One of the definitions of 'treating school kids properly' is not checking their age then plowing them back at the hotel.
