I was told on good authority that all the good young talent are getting paid way 'overs' and gettinf mcdonalds and anything else spruced up for a 30-40 rsi slap up.

I guess it depends on what you consider " way 'overs' " or even simply 'overs' but no they aren't. Jim significantly cut the contracts as opposed to previous years.

It's all too convenient to blame the coaching staff. You surely have to have the playing talent to begin with otherwise there ain't a whole lot the coaching staff are going to be able to work with.

No I am certainly not saying that.

There is less potential NRL talent in both the Ball and Matthews sides in comparison to two the last two or three seasons but that is hardly surprising considering our successes in recent seasons.

Clearly, it is unreasonable to expect the continued success year in year out.

At the end of the day you only need one or perhaps two players of NRL quality to come thru the junior ranks because very, very few make the grade.

I hope Solo Alone has a blinder and does it all himself, no offloads, no second phase play, no fancy flick passes with the line wide open and only the fullback to beat. When we are on the attack metres out, get into dummy half son and try and barge over. Your parent knew what they were doing 16 years ago and they didn't give you some fancy, nancy name just to fit in with a team.

I have heard that Tai Tuivasa is on the bench this weekend.
I believe this is a great idea.
Tai is more effective when the game is at his pace, as we saw last weekend. He will provide extra impact off the bench. Lets just hope the starting forwards can lay a good bench-mark for him to come on and hopefully continue running over sides.
