Has the Telegraph become the Parragraph?

I am not imagining this but it seems that the Eels are getting hectares of print space compared to the Dogs. Not that I don't mind this but fair suck of the sav, there should be a balanced perspective all round. I could understand it if the other team was from out of town. Any comments?

The blokes at work have been whinging every day about this exact thing.
I just tell them to suck it up cause we are the only team that sells papers.

this is good for the bulldogs, it means they dont have as much pressure on them to perform, worse for us as it is putting a sh*t load more pressure on the boys,!

The Telegraph are just whores who jump on whatever bandwagon will sell them papers. Our run has been the fairytale of the season and we'd probably collecting the majority of Sydney fans whose teams have exited, so they're milking it for what it's worth.

I was thinking the same thing. So much in the Parragraph that you wouldn't know who else was playing. I soak it up as much as you guys and read everything Blue & Gold, but I am starting to get embarrassed about the % of coverage we are getting. I suppose on the other hand if the Eels get hammered we will get just as much coverage.

fox sports news is the same its all parra interviews and stories..IMO DA has led the " we will do the media sh*t" cos its great for the club" then get on with the games build up...Something a lot of people havent realised when they r stressing about parra losing>>>>Our coach has so much experience in big time games, compare him to K Moore whos has done nothing>> this matters heaps when you r in this situation...

I have a theory.
I reckon that blue and gold look much better in print than blue and white, or red and white for that matter.
It stands out more, so it attracts the eye.
Every opporunity the Telegraph can put a Parra picture in, they do, regardless of the story, and it grabs the eye.

i was saying the same thing to the wife after win news. Everywhere you go, its all about parra and nothing about the dogs, apart from kimmorly saying bring it on..

They will print what they think will sell the most papers.

Parra have captured the public's imagination with their bust to boom form over the second half of the year.

Add to that the rise and rise of Hayne; the emergence of the young Mortimer; and the old hand Hindy trying to complete his "quest for glory" before time runs out - is it any wonder the Eels are the feel good story of 2009.

I certainly haven't been complaining about the extra coverage.

A part of me thinks this game is the Grand Final a week early. A part of me says there is nothing I can do about that. Stragely though, I took my son to the Parra V Melbourne game at Parra and we were happy just for a win. A lot has happened since then, a lot of good. No matter the result tomorrow, I am proud to be a Parra supporter. The boys have given me a lot to cheer about. I won't be there tomorrow but it will be "warm the set and cool the tinnies" friday night. Raudonikis, I too believe. Can i stand another parragraph tomorrow? A dollar says I can.
