Actually Carney informed Smith he wasn't going to Goulburn anymore that night.

If there was something else to it, Politis wouldn't still want him. The only thing that was kept silent regarding the issue, is what Smith did which caused Carney to stop listening to him.

Cliffy let me give you a little heads up. Carney was involved in countless incidents from 2010 and 2011 that journalists didn't report on as they figured they owed the roosters a couple of favors for being so transparent to the media in 2010. The balcony incident being one of these. When the roosters started with the siege mentality carney and his shenanigans became fair game.

Carney and his teammates made the non drinking pact together, Todd and others breached that and so his teammates rightfully got pissed off.

I won't reveal my source about the goings on at the roosters in my posts but am happy to pm you if you like.

Believe me, you're better off without Carney.

I find it difficult to believe that Politis would want to keep him if there was more to his indiscretions then what was reported. Not 8 years ago this was the bloke who demanded explanations from his players who visiting the Cross.

I think the Titans genuinly believe they help Carney off the field and he in turn can them on the field. Personally I still think it's a giant train wreck waiting to happen.

If we had a policy of not signing a player that had a past, we would have about 4 players to chose from in the entire NRL

It's the last thing we need with the stupid Suns bandwagon trying to be flavour of the month. We need smash that bandwagon, not give it a leg up.

And btw the CoE is one of the best sporting facilities in Australia, and a much better investment then a pokie palace as you will find out over the next 5 years

I agree mate, but in saying that we were squeaky clean this year, and where did that get us?
At the end of the day it's sport and winning is the key, teams live for decades from GF's. He'll Souths prove that point. We are in a tough market, we need to start winning again, it's more important than anything
