What were Carney's indiscretions this year? The low range DUI. Rothfield, Wilson and the DT f**kwits would have you believe he's in the same category as guys who are assaulting women. FFS he got a little drunk, he loves his alcohol, nobody has the right to tell him to give it up.

The DT was following him around waiting for him to stuff up, hell a week ago they photographed him getting into a cab after a night out and were bitching about him walking into a few garbage bins, what a f**king joke and you are trusting this mob to tell you that Carney is trouble.
Okay so he broke a team promise, why the f**k shouldn't here after those senior players who came up with the idea were the same mob who wanted him out of the club, I wouldn't give a f**k about their stupid pact either.

What the f**k? We were playing shit football in the trials and bar round 1 we started the season off fairly poorly. We were falling apart from the get go this year, Carney was an easy scapegoat. His senior teammates turned against him after the Watts incident, where he did nothing wrong apart from drink. Smith threw him back into the side before he was ready and the results weren't good, that's what happens when you force an injury.

Not saying he's an angel, he isn't, but the expectations on him were ridiculous. So what he got on the piss a lot, Brad Fittler was the biggest drunk in the history of the Roosters, he was left alone for it and it didn't ruin his career.

Rooster's management were manipulated by the media in their treatment of Carney this season. Anybody should be able to see this, but NRL fans never were known for their wit or their ability to discern truth.

The problem we have is that we only have the publicly known incidents to go off. It's unlikely the Roosters sacked Carney based solely on what we know he did this year. But how many other incidents have there been that were hushed up and dealt with internally? At the Raiders he had more than 30 such incidents, it's entirely within the realms of possibility that something similar happened at the Roosters.

WORD is Todd Carney is very close to announcing his future and he could make a call as early as this week. Before he does, he will talk through his options with his family, who'll have a significant say. He has been slammed in certain quarters - but at least three French rugby clubs, three NRL teams and French league team Catalans have been asking about his availability.

If there was something else to it, Politis wouldn't still want him. The only thing that was kept silent regarding the issue, is what Smith did which caused Carney to stop listening to him.

I am a Roosters supporter..Have been one for over 40 years..

I'm not shedding a single tear that we gave Carney the arse..

He peaked in 2010 when he had a fantastic year,& his late season form was a major driving force in our run to the GF..

He also choked in the GF..BIG TIME..Soward played all over him..

Carney is an extremely talented first grade player..capable of winning a game single handedly on his day..It's just too bad his off field demons compomise him so much..

Carney's run to get the Dally M reminds me of the run Jarryd Hayne was on when he won..or Terry Campese was on the year he nearly won it..None of those players (for various reasons) have been able to get back to those levels..

Carney is a defensive liability now,a real target for opposition teams..His defence this year lost us games,while his attack didn't win us any (maybe the Tigers game when he ran over the top of Archer)..

Sacked from 2 clubs & he is only 25 years of age..Wonder which club will give him the trifecta..
