you do realise though that the cause of that tearful group hug was because they just won this thing:
hell, if they win the comp, i wouldn't even care if they celebrated luke burgess + ben ross style..

Ahh I see what you're saying Muzby. Too late btw:

Hmmmm....now there is the perfect pose to capture in bronze for the new trophy , if they ever decide to update the Provan-Summons one.

Well said Didgi.........it's only been a couple of weeks since Bennett officially ended his commitment to propping up the Dragones and they've already got themselves sprucing on about "hardman" Beau Scott

and bitterly fighting the Tigers over Tim f*cken Moltzen

God help 'em when they realise Soward is just a bit player as well.

Too funny.........

Fourex.. the resident LU nuffy with nothing to say except "Qweenslandahh and Lockkyy!"

You continue to emabarrass yourself

lol Beaugenius...another one who will be an absolute struggler post-Bennett.
fmd you're a simpleton. List the Origin & International premiership winners in the Broncos of '08 who turned into absolute strugglers post-Bennett.

 He's another sad, bitter little chookies fan. Living in eternal hope the Dragons players will somehow turn into nuffies (like the majority of his team's roster) now Wayne's moved on.

Pull your ball bag out from your eyes dickhead......

Nothing there said about QLD or Lockyer

Was simply pointing out how hilarious it is that Dragqueen fans are talking up Beau Scott as their tough guy. Says a lot about your forward pack.

Now run back into your bedroom and throw your face into the pillow.

It's funny you having a go at Scott, yet you have Third Man In leading the way for the Broncos.

Brown could be key in Dragons tug-o-war over Moltzen
MICHAEL CHAMMAS
19 Oct, 2011 11:51 AM
Tigers utility Mitch Brown could be offered to St George Illawarra as compensation if the Tim Moltzen tug-of-war ends with the fullback staying at the Wests Tigers in 2012.
With the NRL taking over the responsibility to determine Moltzen's home for next season, salary cap auditor Ian Schubert has asked the clubs to submit several documents before a decision is made.

St George Illawarra, the Wests Tigers and Moltzen's manager, Martin Tauber, have until 4pm this afternoon to lodge a mandatory report, outlining all emails, phone calls and exchanges the clubs have had over the past four months in relation to the player's future.

It is still not known when a decision will be reached but Moltzen isn't the only player with uncertainty surrounding his future just weeks before preseason starts.

In another twist to the saga which first erupted on July 8 when Tigers boss Stephen Humphreys labelled the Dragons ''arrogant'' and ''disrespectful'' for announcing Moltzen's signing without informing the club, Brown could be heading to the Dragons.

The Herald understands the Tigers will consider releasing Brown, who wants to play in the centres, from the final year of his contract if the club is successful in its bid to retain Moltzen.

Brown's manager, Gavin Orr, has already been in contact with new Dragons coach Steve Price but the club are reluctant to start talks with Brown until the Moltzen debacle is settled.

Mark Gasnier's retirement leaves a hole in the Dragons back line but with Daniel Vidot and Chase Stanley heading to the club, and with Kyle Stanley and Bronx Goodwin already in their ranks, a centre may not be on the top of St George Illawarra's wish list.

Tigers coach Tim Sheens is wary of releasing the versatile Brown but, according to Orr, would contemplate offloading him if he was offered a lucrative deal elsewhere.

''Tim loves having Mitch,'' Orr said. ''Someone like him is excellent because he can play on either side of the field in different positions.
[The Tigers] have allowed me to go out and Tim is happy for us to look around.

''Mitch wants to play in the centres … I've left it with Steve Price, I let him know we're here if he wants to talk more.''

There is also plenty of uncertainty at the Dragons in the post-Wayne Bennett era. Adam Cuthbertson is still without a club for next year and, while he has been tipped to follow Bennett to Newcastle, isn't a certainty to end up at the Knights.

His deal hinges on Con Mika, who will need to walk away from his final year at the Knights to free up the necessary funds.

If Moltzen heads back to the Tigers, the Dragons may make another play at Cuthbertson, but they aren't willing to budge on their original offer.

''We didn't take up the Dragons' original offer,'' Cuthbertson's manager, Andrew Purcell, said.

''That has now passed the deadline and … by the players they have signed since, it's unlikely they'll have room for him in the cap.''

Meanwhile, Wests Tigers back-rower Simon Dwyer was yesterday admitted to hospital and will today undergo a nerve graft to restore feeling in his right arm.

The 22-year-old, who hasn't played since he suffered a brachial plexus injury against Canterbury in round 16, will get a better understanding of his rugby league future after the operation.

Well we have all heard the red bolded section before. Who would trust the tigers board with their word. Amatuer hour still at the Tigpies.

Deeply disappointing news. To lose Mitch Brown and keep Tim Moltzen would probably be the saddest possible end to this whole saga.

Slightly off-topic but the Simon Dwyer news is of greatest interest to me. Best wishes to Simon & even if you don't get your league career back I wish you a good quality of life. But ideally, all goes well & he'll be back with the Tigers in a year or so.

Yeah, he was upset - but he still has a long way to go to match this...

to be fair, those tears were less about the fact he was in a cheating team that still got whalloped in a grand final, and more about the fact he just realised what his future had in store for him.....
