Have the Tigers convinced Moltzen to stay? Release sought from his Saints contract

25 pages of crap, he obviously wants to stay at the tigers but has signed a contract with the Dragons.

I think its pretty straight forward, the Dragons should get the call, but they have to decide if that cap space it be better used now that he has come out and said he wants to stay at the tigers.
The bottom line if the call goes the way of the Dragons he is a pro footballer and will quickly fit in down at the Gong

What cap space? The prick has reportedly taken 300k of our cap, and there are no players left of the market of any note for next year.

There are two outcomes I will be happy with...
A. We get him then put him in reserve grade for the duration of his contract.
B. Tigers keep him but we sue him personally for damages

No other outcome is appropriate. There is a very dangerous precedent being set here if Moltzen stays at the tigers. Basically it's allowing the vast majority of player transfers to reneg when they feel like it.

Haha, the Titans coming last makes Beau Scott the most feared man in the world.

Not the best defender nor is he the most feared player. However he has what not one Titan forward has, mongrel.

Ask Sammy 3rd man in Thaiday.

This coming from a guy who supports a club whose hardman is a guy that will run into a fight only if the numbers are at least 3 to 1 in his favour.

Have to laugh at the fools who don't think Beau is tough or close to the best defender in the game. Suggest you watch the games a little closer without your hatred towards us clouding your judgement.
If he is not the best defender in the comp, he would be in the top 3....and I can't think of any off the top of my head I'd rate above him.

This thread has gone off topic a little.

Back to the topic.
The Tigers are scum and Moltzen doesn't deserve to put on the Big Red V. He should keep playing for the filth he is with now.
Let him stay where he is Doust.

Agree.....I don't want to see our fullback coming off the field bawling his eyes out every week coz he misses his roomy.

Looks like hes going to break into tears every time hes tackled, that pleading begging look of desperation he gives refs that quickly turns to sooking, whinging, bitching at the touchy, pocket ref or anyone who happens to be nearby

Play a 300 grand a year player in reserve grade, now that would be a smart move. As for taking out court proceedings against the tigers, would not get to court. From a technical point of view the Tigers hold all the aces, from a ethical point of view the dragons hold the aces, unfortunately the court will rule on the law and not the ethical side of things. The dragons left a very large loop hole for Moltzen to crawl through, don't blame the Tigers, you should be asking some questions about the competencies of your management

Agree. How about getting a release (OFFICIAL ONE) before announcing a signing? The Dragons cannot blame anyone but themselves. If they followed the correct procedures, Moltzen would 100% be a Dragon in 2012.

Are you kidding? They followed the procedures used by every club when another club tells a player he is not required for the remaining years of his contract, and will be released. Verbal assurances is the norm for most clubs, and acceptable by most clubs. That is of course not the case with a slimy underhanded club like West Tigers. Good luck in future dealings with any other clubs.

Unless of course Moltzen and his manager are lying....then they will get their just desserts.
