NSW never had a chance anyway, so it would be best he is selected for the game and thus suspended...then he can play for parra and not be suspended for a club game.

So much for all the preseason tripe about Hayne maturing, being a leader and being there for his team..he is a f**king dope and has done great damage to NSW chances of squaring the series!
he was there for the Eels, his team, on Friday night mate in case you missed it? he put his club colours above everything else..
I admit he's a dope, but you can't accuse the kid of selfishness
btw, can someone clarify why Slater was let off? total hypocrisy imo

Pfft... the NSW selectors would have kept him on the wing anyway so they can have their love-child Gidley at FB.

i get the feeling it would have been 6. Gidley 1. Hayne, tbh.

could have ended in disaster... or been a master stroke... depending on how lucky Gidley got with his boot.

I've been watching this apparent 'elbow' to Hayne's head.....seriously people need their eyes checked.
He was never going to be charged.

Guess swinging an elbow at a players head is in the rules now. What a joke

Hayne and Lewis will both miss Origin. Haynes was a blatant headbutt and Lewis' spear tackle was no better than the one Rogers did 2 weeks ago and he copped a 2 match sit down.

The slim chance NSW had is slowly evaporating. Our only hope is that the boys who are selected play out of their skins and Qld relax, doubt it though

No, he's charged with a headbutt you blind dipstick. Slater had two incidents and got off both. Protected species.

Oh dear... Another poor fellow who can not follow the discussion.

You were asked did you miss the grapple tackle that lead to the scuffle in which Hayne threw the headbutt.

You said you didn't - but the thread was about Slater (which it wasn't at all but I will let you off the hook with that one).

I'm merely pointing out that Hayne also got off free without a grapple tackle charge, that any player from another team would have been charged with.

Do you follow now? Or did I need to get the Wiggles to write a song and choreography for you to understand it?

Maybe if Jake Friend shared his Valium with the whole Queensland team before the match ... you'd be in with a show.

Please, Hayne's defensive reads (especially at Wing - but not excluding fullback) are extremely poor. Him getting suspended is a good thing for NSW...

... No more liability on the wing, and no more passes over the sideline... I'm Krisnan Inu would appreciate those disappearing from Parramatta.

You're a fool.

Parramatta's defence is letting in heaps lately, isn't it? For the record they have the third best defensive record so far this season, despite only having a 50% winning rate.

Hayne's not getting too many line breaks and try assists, is he? I couldn't be bothered actually digging up the stats for that ... you watch any game and you see his direct contributions to just about every try the Eels score.

If Hayne was so bad defensively, the Eels would have conceded a lot more points in 2010.

Only a fool would want a NSW side without Hayne in it.

He is bad defensively because of his positioning on kicks. He reads them poorly and costs his team yardage on almost every set because of it

If you charge Slater you have to charge every missed tackle because it had potential to be high ffs. Get over it guys. Slater is in the clear as he should be.

He stands too deep defensively at fullback and with kicks he is very lazy in covering field position. Funnily enough Phil Gould was saying the exact same thing last week on the Sunday Roast - but no, no. Hayne is god!

Once you get out of the media lovefest, and watch the games you will see he is not the messiah they proclaim. Dugan is a better fullback, and more consistant.

But I'm sure the rest of the Parramatta side appreciate you putting their defensive record all as a result of Jarryd Hayne...
