Interesting article with quotes from Pulver about Hayne's meeting re rugby options.

http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-union/w...ne-shift-to-nsw-waratahs-20160721-gqarhg.html

A lot of comments about money, which could give a flavour of where Beavis/Hayne's heads are at?

Interesting comment too that Hayne is apparently interested in time in France later in his career....

Seriously, why would Hayne come back to league? To play in a losing Origin team and tarnish his series-winning finale? Play for us in a different more difficult position, or in his old position behind nuffie halves because we won't be able to afford an upgrade while Hayne's here? Face the same problem at another league club? Only get to France by playong for Catalans and spending every second weekend in nortern England?

Union has so much more to offer Hayne - domestic seasons with Waratahs, off-seasons in Japan to rake in cash (and promote his brand), occasional test rugby with Fiji among the islands nations, and then finishing with a retirement contract for one of the 10 or so Union clubs in the south of France.

Hayne can probably set up a Hillsong branch over there too when his playing days are over, becoming Hillsong's version of Tom Cruise!

Union has so much more to offer Hayne???? How about a challenge in the best Rugby comp in the world??? How about winning origin again and winning a comp with us???

Cant wait to see your meltdown if he comes back to the Eels, any excuse to bag the bloke or talk down his chances of coming back you're all over it like Greenburg and a media appearance.

Parramatta are unfazed by reports Jarryd Hayne is edging towards signing with rugby union, saying they're content with their roster.

Hayne's future is up in the air after he failed to make the final cut for the Fiji Rugby Sevens Olympic squad.

The 28-year-old departed Parramatta for a stint in the NFL with the San Francisco 49ers in 2014 and the Eels remain in the hunt for his signature.

However, Hayne on Wednesday met with ARU officials about signing with the NSW Waratahs and is considering an option to play Super Rugby and moonlight in Japanese Rugby.

The Sydney Roosters, South Sydney and Newcastle have all ruled themselves out of the race for the cross-code star with the Eels and Gold Coast the NRL sides left vying for his services.

Asked if he felt nervous after seeing photos of Hayne meeting with the ARU, Parramatta coach Brad Arthur said: "That's fine. We're really happy with our list and our squad moving forward and if Jarryd wants to be part of that, that's great.

"If he doesn't, he's got to do what's best for Jarryd."

lol. He'd had enough of the challenge of NRL - read his quotes from October 2014.

Winning a comp with us means nothing to him - read his quotes from October 2014, particularly about having nothing left to achieve in the game.

Ditto Origin, why would winning it again with a bunch of new blokes he's never played with be an attraction?

But go on... shoot the messenger *roll eyes emoticon*

I do and have always believed Hayne would end up in rugby union.

I don't care for the reactions to be honest - but it's funny watching people here get upset at a different opinion!

Great quotes from Arthur re the Hayne hype.

Subtle dig in the last sentence there...?

Yes, but I don't think Jarryd will. And judging from his quotes, Arthur isn't fussed about Hayne either way - which is probably how most of us should be.
No mate, anyone that changes their mind should be put to death.
Any "meltdown" you think I will have should Hayne go back on his words and join us will not be as fun as the mini-meltdowns of each and every response you've make to me about the issue. *green faced smile emoticon*
