And hopefully that is the way the club is looking at it.This! It all comes down to dollars for mine. If we pay 800k Max for him, we are doing well IMO. If he's asking 1.2 I'd pass.

Was a star.... But he's had two years off and people are saying he'll just jump in and play in a new (harder) position?
If I was the world clean and jerk champion and could regularlylift 200kg at my peak, do you think anyone would back me to turn up - after not having trained in my sport for two years - and suddenly start snatch lifting (different technique) 250kg each time?
Hayne's hype machine is sucking in everybody - hopefully except for Max and BA.
I think that 'if' is an incredibly unlikely one.I'll say it again. Jarryd Hayne is a Thurston/Smith/Cronk level player, and if we can get him back for a reasonable price without getting caught up in a ludicrous bidding war, then it's a very simple equation. You sign the deal.
I haven't seen many (if any) on here say no Hayne at any price.I think that 'if' is an incredibly unlikely one.
In before anyone else... well I might not be clean, but you can't dispute I'm a champion at jerking *sideways eyes emoticon*Mate, I've seen you struggle to lift a Big Mac. Stop deluding yourself into thinking you are a clean and jerk champion.
I just had a flashback to when Mateo and Inu had to leave the club, and Jarryd was reportedly saddened by his mates "having to leave"... whilst not realising/admitting that the regular public circus of Jarryd's drawn out contract negotiations for the highest possible amount was the exact reason the club didn't have enough money to compete with other offers made to his mates!
Jarryd Hayne could replace Quade Cooper at French rugby union powerhouse Toulon
DEAN RITCHIE, The Daily Telegraph
July 27, 2016 9:00pm
FRENCH rugby union powerhouse Toulon have held top-level internal discussions about signing former rugby league superstar Jarryd Hayne in a straight swap for fellow Australian Quade Cooper.
Toulon have an import spot available since Cooper quit the club for a Super Rugby homecoming, and that could allow Hayne to sign a lucrative short-term deal in France and return to Australia early next season to restart his NRL career.
The Daily Telegraph can reveal Toulon, Clermont and Paris-based Racing Metro are all interested in securing Hayne.
The three Top 14 clubs have the money and clout to sign Hayne, while [??? missing word] may also be interested.
Well-placed French sources claim Toulon were “discussing” replacing Cooper with Hayne after the former Queensland Reds playmaker left the club just one season into a two-year deal.
Cooper is now weighing up offers from the Reds and Melbourne Rebels for next season.
If Hayne decides on a Toulon sojourn, he will join fellow Aussies Matt Giteau and Drew Mitchell already on the cashed-up club’s books
Eccentric Toulon owner, comic-book millionaire Mourad Boudjellal, has a history of signing the highest-profile rugby players in the world.
He is also not averse to signing rugby league players with no rugby experience after signing Sonny Bill Williams when he walked out on Canterbury in 2008.
Willie Mason and Luke Rooney also had stints at the club.
Racing Metro’s interest could potentially unlock a sizeable pay cheque given the Parisian club’s owner, Jacky Lorenzetti, is a notorious rival of Boudjellal and bidding wars between the two have produced huge salaries for the likes of Giteau and New Zealand legend Dan Carter.
Carter is the world’s highest-paid rugby player at more than $2 million a year. Giteau is next on an annual salary of at $1.4 million.
Hayne’s Australian options have narrowed after the NSW Waratahs declared they wouldn’t sign the former San Francisco 49er.
His former club Parramatta are interested in landing the Hayne Plane, especially once their 2017 salary cap picture becomes clearer when Kieran Foran officially departs the club.
St George Illawarra and the Gold Coast are also ready to have a sizeable crack at Hayne, but it’s believed he wants to remain in Sydney.
Sydney Roosters coach Trent Robinson confirmed they were out of the running for Hayne.
“We’re not chasing Jarryd,” Robinson said. “We’re close to full for next year. That’s where we’re at. We have been planning our fullbacks. We have Latrell Mitchell there and Michael Gordon coming in. We’re pretty clear on our recruitment.”
The French rugby season starts in August and runs until June. That could free Hayne up to compete, potentially, in the rugby league World Cup, to be staged in Australia after next season.
Hayne has told mates he would love to play in the World Cup.
English superstar Jonny Wilkinson coaches at Toulon while Ma’a Nonu, Bryan Habana and James O’Connor are currently also on the books.
Don't let the facts get in the way of a good Hayne bashing........His mates were moved on because of thier attitudes, not because of money!
So Glad we have you on here Bart giving us our daily Hayne updates, I wouldn't have a clue what was going on with him without you so you have my thanks. * Cool emoticonAnother day, another Hayne "dream" appears - this time it's the rugby league world cup?

It's really starting to sound to me that Beavis went to BA, asked for a number, BA gave him one, Beavis didn't like it, and then started shopping Jarryd all over the place, and feeding the media articles, making sure that every time they wrote something they mentioned how "Jarryd would prefer to stay in Sydney", then every now and then prod BA again, like "hey, how about now, look, French Rugby are interested... huh.. huh? c'mon..." and BA basically tells him, "You already know what I'm willing to pay," then Beavis head out again..
Part of me wants the Eels to just officially pull out of this "race" for Jarryd, even though it seems more like Beavis is running around to all and sundry asking for a deal, rather than everyone beating a path to his door..
Yeah part of me wants hayne at parra in #6 ... but the more it drags the more i couldnt give a flying f**k
All these shenanigans could very well be blown out of proportion by the media. We can't have selective hearing when it comes to the Telecrap etc. We can't be one day sledging News Ltd cos they are making shit up about the cap saga and then the next believing unsourced speculation about Toulon or the Lakers having interest in him.
Can I remind you that it was only July 11 that he was told that he was not on the Rio team ? Yet some merkins are losing patience with him ? You reckon that he should have signed already and 17 days is enough time ? LOL so do I, but the reality is that we have a new Admin and cap shit to sort out etc.
