If he accepts substantially less than the 1.2mill he is on I reckon that’s a sign that he realizes he is not ‘the man’ anyomore .

Now that Spags is not an associate of the club, maybe he's gonna pay Jarryd all the dishonoured TPAs out the goodness of his little conniving heart?

Cos all he has now is hype ... he is not what he was and i dont think he wants to accept that .... he has been trouble for the titans and he was crap for nsw .... he is not the big man anymore and he cant accept that

That still doesn't mean he'd have a negative impact on the team.
He's clearly been in no man's land since he left the NFL. Clearly uncomfortable and uninspired with his life choices. It was quite clear at his Titans press conference signing announcement that he would have preferred to have come back to us. I'm glad he didn't then because his ego was still unchecked (imo).
Maybe I'm just clutching at straws, but is it not conceivable that he could return to his (almost) best in an environment that he feels comfortable and internally happy with? Closer to his family and mum, and newborn, playing at the club he loves?
Under the no-nonsense coaching of BA, he could really be a massive benefit to us..........for....as I have said previously, the right price.
I'm a glass half full kinda guy.

And why didnt he accept it before when he came back? .... why didnt he walk away from it a few months ago?
Could be lots of reasons why he didn't walk away from the Titans a few months ago, the most obvious one being no Sydney teams were interested in him. But since then a shit load of stuff has happened and there's likely even more to come... Who knows, maybe Moylan will join Brennan at the Titans, Jimmy Maloney might end up as a halves partner with Pearce at the Knights, Jack Bird might ask for a release from the Boncos, Jake Friend might become our new hooker.... Nobody would have foreseen any of that a few months back when Hayne decided to take up his option for 2018 with the Titans but now, at least 2 of those scenarios have been floated as possibilities....

We have had whatever money we have now available for some time. BA never made a play for hayne back when he could walk ... why not? Cos hayne still wants his cash .... cos he thinks he is still the big cheese

If BA goes for him then i will go with his judgement ..... but at this stage i reckon it will be a mistake

I'd say he took up his Titans option because he knew he wouldn't get anything close from any other club. He probably only took it so he would have some leverage over the Titans to request a release with them paying some of the freight. After all, they had apparently made it clear they wanted him gone. Once he knew that why wouldn't he take up the option? It was free money.

Well at this stage, If BA decided he wanted him back at the right price, I reckon it wouldn't be a mistake.
In BA I trust.
We all agree that he made the right decision to not have him back last time he had the choice. I will also trust his judgement this time.

Rothfield stated on MMM that we have been in negotiations for the past 2 weeks and will approach the Titans soon.

Technically Hayne is not lying as he hasn’t yet approached the Titans.

I know a thing or two about liars and seeing the signs. Trust me when I tell you guys Hayne was full of shit when the reporters approached him today. Showed all the signs of lying.and rumours like this don’t come out of nowhere.

Rothfield said on Triple M that he reckons the Titans would be eager to part ways with Hayne, and so would subsidise his wage.

If we could nab him for a good price, he might be worth a shot.

tbh I reckon that's more believable than what's been posted today in the media

It seems pretty strong mail, so it looks like a decent chance of happening. I would think we may jettison someone though, we'd have a massively backs heavy squad.
