So Seward must have f**ked up the lifetime contract too did he?
We let him go mid contract to chase a dream, we gave him our blessing, he was a paid ambassador of the club for the last 2 years and then signs elsewhere, if infant he has, before we even give him our offer.
Thanks for making us a powerhouse Todd.

The only thing I found interesting is supposedly the nrl wouldn't register his contract unless he answered questions regarding underhanded payments. Did that happen? Or did they mean they wouldn't register a contract unless it was at an nrl run club? Anyway good luck to him

He will have fun playing in front of 15 people every home game.
I won't be watching him even on tv.

Mate that is why they signed him. He will boost attendances and memberships. It is money well spent as far as they would be concerned.

They will get healthy crowds don't worry about that.

Wow I bet the NRL have helped them with this, this is the sad state of affairs that the game and our club are in. It's a complete joke if it has signed with the Titans.
We have a offer ready to present to him this week and he has off and singed elsewhere before even seeing our offer.
Just shows it was never about the team it was only about the player.
You can bet his is getting extras under the table from the NRL.
Hayne never cared about us or about a team - he cares about no-one except for Hayne.

There could never be any such thing as a "lifetime contract". It was pure marketing spin, and the Club let Hayne walk all over it and paid him for his release!

Hayne always was and always will be a selfish human - Judas Mark II.

Well it is a bit hard for us to sign anyone at present, when A) we have no board, B) are being run by a administrator, C) The NRL have not confirm our salary cap position for next year.
So we can't really blame the club, i did hear we had a offer ready to table him this week, did we tell him that? D) how much of his contract has the NRL paid? titans is owned by them.

If the reports in the media are true the Eels offered 800K, clearly an insulting offer for someone of his apparent stature and given the increase in cap.

Hayne returning to the Eels would have eased some of the PR nightmare that 2016 has been.

plus the $200k a year for the last 2 years we were reportedly paying him.
Look the NRL wouldn't have forced him to sign there if they told him go to the titans or no where he would have went to French rugby.
