apparently, according to posts in this thread, he looks all sad and mopey when he's playing.. it's on the internet suity, it must be true..

How do you read "his body language tells me he isn't happy", and turn it into "oh poor Jarryd! He was forced to sign!"?

Seriously - you're either being deliberately obtuse, or you're struggling to read a d comprehend what I wrote.

Whether I believe what I just wrote about the theories behind Hayne is irrelevant - whatever the reason behind it, he looks unhappy.

I think he looked frustrated at the weekend and looked much better at 5/8 then he does at fullback.
I've already stated elsewhere that he doesn't look match fit yet he has made some incredible plays since his return.
Never mind, keep making shit up about him to make your own opinion and yourself feel better.

Interestingly Anasta said match fitness should not be an issue this long back.

I think jamming a square peg in a round hole in the hope that the square peg will get you to the finals has not helped.

They looked much better before he came along imo.

With an off season fitting him into their system I have no doubt we'll see the Hayne of old, this year though was always going to be a stretch. Sure they limped into the finals but that has not been on the back of Hayne.

yeah i heard that Anasta talk. Of course it should only take 5 games for a guy who hadn't played or even been around league in almost 2 years to get match fit. I mean it only took Hoppa a bit over 2 years.
The only thing that will stop Jarryd from getting back to near his best is Jarryd himself. If he doesn't put the effort in because he doesn't really want to be there or won't buy into the team culture as reports are saying then we wont see that skill again.
But if he can then he is still young enough to do most of the things we have seen over the years and the Titans and the NRL will be better for it

show me where in that quote I said;
a) anything about you.
and
b) anything about Jarryd being forced to sign anything.

It just came across as it being directed at me, what with me being the last person to talk about it.

I apologise for jumping the gun a bit.

As Suity said, maybe he's u happy because his form isn't great - who knows?

But he genuinely looks unhappy, and it's affecting his play.

Anyone could see at the press conference which club he would rather be at, it was quite amusing how much he spoke about Parra and how little he spoke about the Titans.

Oh well what's done is done, time to move on I know BA and the team has. That said I still hope he tears the Broncos a new one on Friday night.

You'll probably find that it's a bit cyclical, he's unhappy because he's not playing well, which in turn, is affecting his play, repeat.

But I doubt it has anything to do with the team he's currently playing for, or the circumstances which he came about playing for them.

The caveat to that, is he would rather be there if we were willing to shell out the bucks. But we weren't. That's probably what he was most upset about, I'm sure he was expecting somewhat of a bidding war to take place, ending in around a 1.5M pa salary.

Yep, I'm sure he was shocked at this amount that was offered to him, but this club is different now with BA and Max in charge and not a Board of clowns involved who would have signed him no matter what just for some positive press.

If The Plane wanted to get out of his contract with the Titans he could do it in a heart beat.

It all seemed to happen way too quickly and all he would have to do is threaten to go to the media with a story that he felt "obliged" to sign with the Titans on the insistance of the NRL and he was "under the impression" from his Manager that that the NRL indicated that "Parra would not be an option"...

Even if none of it was true....mud would stick and the NRL would want to damage control the situation.

You're probably right, but it's a shame to see him playing like this.

Has there ever been a player in the games history who has more pressure on them to produce some brilliance than Hayne at the moment?

I doubt it.

Yeah but his pay packet is not KPI based. He's getting paid elite NRL money. No excuses if he's not producing 1% ers every week IMHO.

Let's face it, if QLD hadn't won so many series in a row Thurston's pay packet should have had a shit load of pressure heaped on his continual failing Cowboys teams that were stacked with talent year after year.

He somehow avoided serious criticism because he's a Qlder.

Although I don't think there has been that much pressure on Hayne tbh. Most reasonable people know that he wouldn't be producing anywhere near his best until next season.

I'm a reasonable person and you can't speak for me !

Jokes aside, I call bullshit that most did not expect him to be 100% competitive. Far better judges (ex-players, coaches etc) said that he would change the dynamic of the Tits side and they would be a GF contender.

No so far he hasn't.
