That is the best article I've read about Hayne in years.
Why?
Because it actually contains some "actual" quotes from someone in a position to comment - BA.
BA is no fool. He rejected paying Hayne overs when Hayne came back from his failed attempt to make the Fijian Olympic 7's team.
Stupidly, and who knows what the real circumstances were, the Titan's signed him up to a ridiculous amount of coin, which, If I were Hayne I would have accepted myself.
The bloke clearly didn't want to be there and expressed his feelings at the very first press conference, although he was happy to take the money on hand for want of the lack of alternative offers. The role that the NRL played in this situation may never be known.
There are more than enough quotes from BA in this article, saying the right things, to convince me that this may actually end up being a genius signing. BA has stated himself that Hayne has returned under BA's rules, and will do what he is told.
I've always said (as have others) that there's no way we'd bring Hayne back if BA didn't think it would benefit the team. I have complete faith that he is confident it will, and ..........he has been able to pull it off at a bargain price.
I also have much faith that Jarryd realises this, and will do what he can for the club that he adores.
I'm really looking forward to Season 2018.
