I fully agree with that sentiment.
But, will Hagan fix the root cause?

Suity

Better still, does Hagan have the capability to fix the root cause?

In 2006 under JT, we watched week by week towards the end of the comp as we lost front-rower after front-rower due to injury and it was only the committment and desire of the 17 players on the paddock that saw us win games against all odds. It is now 2 years down the track and we have lost a couple of the guys we had then (Cannings and Peek come to mind) and replaced them with Paulo (injured) and Oake (small).

I sometimes dont think there is much Hagan can do this year about our front-row stocks. If he (and the other coaching staff) do not believe anyone from Wenty or NYC is ready to make the move to FG, than I think we need to respect that decision and support the players who might not be best suited but are going to give it a go regardless.

We are continually getting shown up in the metres gained department but maybe we simply have no options available. If this is true, i kinda lean towards Hagans supportive approach of the players we have in our team and the ones he keeps picking (Wags/Lowrie/Wellar) despite their lack of form.

Move Reddy to fullback if you want keep Hayne in the centres, and if they don't run the ball back hard, fins comeone who can, fed up with starting every set of six on the back foot.

yeah i understand what your saying. The one thing that has puzzled me is that we had basically the same forward pack as last year but we are alot less dominate. I think that really comes down to the way we are returning the ball, Hayne was getting us on the front foot last year with quick play the balls and strong darts by players like Grothe & Tahu. Also we where able to apply alot more pressure with T Smiths kicking game.

Burt hasn't recovered from his injury and it is one of the reasons why the team is struggling.

So? if Inu was kicking your Brett Finch they'd probably be the leading point scorers as well.

Seriously Pete, weak argument. Ian Herron was once leading point scorer wasn't he?

What's the argument..The post said Burt had done nothing this year..all I replied was.... That is, apart from being the leading point scorer in the NRL.

Reminds me of the scene in the Life of Brian...
"What have the Romans ever done for us?"
Need to have a look what I mean? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ExWfh6sGyso

When you are NOT the flavour of the month on this forum with the 'clique', you are definitely NOT the flavour of the month.
I'm even copping it from the sheilas for daring to have a differing point of view.
What is the purpose of a forum. Is it to lick arse and say what you don't believe?
I've been around life too long to have that view. I won't succomb to anyone, and bloody sure that I won't succomb to a mob of pessimists who think they are doing the right thing, but all they are doing is what they blast Hadley for doing.
I have as much right to express my views on here, and in whatever style I choose, as the rest of you. If I want to reply with a quote, or a poem, or a YouTube clip I will.
If you don't like my views, ignore them..If you don't like my style of writing, bad luck.
AND from memory, Ian Herron played in two Grand Finals for St George, so he couldn't have been too bad a player......

Why make a change for change sake, when no-one is knocking in that particular (fullback) door.

May as well play Weller Hauraki in the #1 on that logic, not based on form, but just because it "might" work.

Fullback pecking order at Parra:
a) Burt
b) Inu/Reddy
c) Reddy/Inu
d) use the media to influence selection instead of your own form nuffy...

But what the "Hayne must be set free from the wing" crowd ignore is that a switch of two out of form players at fullback is hardly going to fix the real problem(s) we have in matches this year. Bigger fish to fry, if talented Jarryd wants to be more involved in attack, what's stopping him showing that on the field regardless of what jersey he's picked in?

lol

Pecking order:

1. Hayne
2. Inu

* Daylight*

3. Reddy

* Daylight*

4. Fui Fui

I agree that it is just a game. That's why all the sh*t that is being flung at the Club by people who claim to be supporters really disappoints me.
All they are doing is what HADLEY gets slammed from pillar to post on this forum..They are doing that work for free and he is making a living out of it .
f**k Hadley, and f**k the knockers.

what were you expecting him to do off the wing flatch? what can a winger do if their is nothing to finish off? be a battering ram?

Couldn't the same arguement be applied to Burt? What are any of the backs to do when the forwards are hitting like marshmellows

Gee, Hayne's claim to top of the pecking order is just as weak as Burts. Both had good form in the position last year.

I'd love to have the Hayne coloured glases that some others here seem to be wearing, but I just don't see it on this year's form, so best to leave both players in their actual positions of expertise, unless one of them has really stepped up and made a claim for a different spot.

Hayne's botched two positions so far this year, I can do without the coach risking the trifecta.

One little difference though, Hayne performed in the big games, Burt against mediocre opponents;-) Hayne hs proven to be a big game performer at FB, that's why he's my selection.

Burt cannot even catcha bomb, i've lost ount this year how many bombs he has let bounce, terrible from a FB.

Also he lacks penetration from the back, a problem he has had since i can remember.

That's real funny coming from someone who found a way to bash a former Parramatta halfback in every thread, is that slightly the same as what the "knockers" are doing now? I think we all know the answer... :whistle

And now he gets that chance - there's no bigger game in our season except this one... I hope he can pull it off, I really do.

And let's hope for the team's sake that Hayne lives up to all this hype at fullback, and that we don't need to see excuses trotted out for him if he doesn't perform in that position too.
