Right
So if the Raiders wanted to sign me to a contract today I need a clearance from the St Clair Comets since I last played for them in 2001?
I'd say you would need to. 1 club to another.

It's already done and the rule you claim is being broken clearly doesnt apply to him.
Steve Sharp gave him a signed clearance form dated 29/6/16 with a blank space large enough to write in his club of choice at the appropriate time. It did not breach club governance.it's too late
No you don't get it. You don't get much at all.
Contracts have nothing to do with the rule, there is no such thing is a free agent in the rules of rugby league and he needs a clearance to switch clubs but it's too late.
But of course you'll lap up anything Greenberg says. No shock there.
And you're just following me around now because I've made you look like a clown elsewhere. And you call me bitter. Lol.

What did Greenberg have to say about it?
If he's making comment about changing the application of rules in the game, he should be commenting about the bunker & MRC / Judiciary & answering what the hell is happening there.
Rules are rules. You can't just play another sport and void rugby league rules. Even if the CEO decides he will. You clearly don't even understand the rule because you're still banging on about other sports, contracts and registrations.No... only you think that's what Hayne is doing. You filled in these rules with fictional ideas that other sports and contracts don't matter.
Here on planet earth he isn't an Eels player and hasn't been in over 2 years. Those rules are clearly about a player moving from one club directly to another, and in that situation a player is moving from one contract to another.
He had no contract. Therefore he had no association to a club for that rule to apply to him.
You can try and twist this all you want. But the reasoning for his contract being registered has already been explained by the CEO.
Parramatta released him form his contract. End of story, therefore he is in breach of SFA.Bullshit. He is going from one rugby league club to another.
It is irrelevant that he played other sports in between.
He needs a clearance from Parramatta to play for the Gold Coast. And clearances cannot be given after June 30.
It applies to all players. And most players DO NOT have a contract. Why should they? Thousands of players are amateurs. The fact you can't get your head around anything that isn't first grade NRL doesn't alter the rules. These are national rules that apply to all levels of the game, not just NRL players on contracts. The rule that you are grasping at straws to say he hasn't met....
It's already done and the rule you claim is being broken clearly doesnt apply to him... and more importantly it would be f**king stupid for it to apply to players without a contract.
Me too!Ha. I played for St Clair High. I wonder if the punch ons with Colo still happen?
So questioning why Hayne is exempt from rules that every other player must abide by to play for the Titans is detailing a thread about him playing for the Titans? And the Rabbits20 award for derailing the thread.... goes to ECT
So to sum up.
"But but but he's not breaking the rules, and even if he is....shut up"
That seems to be the consensus. And the message from Greenberg.
