Hayne the 2 million dollar man

Hayne had only played 3 good games against strong opposition , state of origin

and in the other games, he had played majority against teams who cant defend

Weyman has been consistant all year against tougher opposition

so you cant compare them, except they are both representative players

i would rather a player who plays through out the year, then a player like hayne who had only 3 good games , then been lucky his side has a good easy draw

So Weyman > Hayne???

i think the dangerous thing with this contract is it seems to be starting a trend of rewarding players in a purple patch of form with massive, lengthy contracts.

look how it's working out for canberra thus far.

i've got no doubt that, in current form, hayne is worth $500k a season. the problem is that can all change in the blink of an eye.

This sums up why Gallops satnce on the cap or any flexibility is crap.

Most of us fans want to see stars and loyal clubman spend there whole careers at one club, while the NRL think that we are that small-minded like a few clubs out there and we are only interested in self-interest.

Couldn't agree more. I honestly dont understand how any Bulldogs fan could properly enjoy this year all that much, they have just bought everyone. It's why I never understood the logic behind supporting the Roosters - you just have no connection with the players whatsoever, the vast majority are at your club for a few years and then off to their 5th or 6th club once it's time to sign a new contract.

I'd much rather wait another 10 years for the Raiders to win a premiership with a team that works its way up together than us go for the quick fix and buy a premiership next year.

still a REP PLAYER THOUGH, and the dragons dont have to pay him $ 500,000 as the eels doing for a fullback.

Leave Gaba alone.

His club has Weyman - he is happy. We have Hayne (who apparently is almost as good as Weyman) - we are happy!

What's the problem.

karma probably will hit the dogs again this weekend i would laugh if the eels beat them

Ive said it before and I'll say it again, anyone who spends more then one post arguing with Gaba clearly has mental issues themselves.
