They are complaining in the NFL section about people making fun of those who doubted Hayne's chances, so giving this thread a bump for some good hearty lols.

Some of the NFL elitist comments in this thread truly are gold. the US struggling in Olympic track events because all the fast men in the world play NFL is my personal favourite.

But that is a fact ? The best American athletes tend to go into NFL because it pays better. Whats so controversial about that lol.

I'm glad hayne is going well and he plays for my team and we need all the help we can get. I'm happy to be wrong but you need to calm down Danish he still has a huge mountain to climb.

World class sprinters stick to sprinting. There is no one in the NFL who would make the US 4x100 relay squad

Hayne's success, if it continues, may well see NFL talent scouts at NRL games.

If Hayne makes the San Francisco 49ers squad, watch out for Greg Inglis becoming the next NFL recruit, followed by Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, Blake Ferguson and Latrell Mitchell.

There are plenty of guys who could have had a crack at a career in an Olympic sport but decided to concentrate on football. Margus Hunt for example.

The highest paying sports will in general attract the best athletes.

Yanks keep calling him a rugby player, just like Victorians would.

they'll get it eventually. alot of aussies are letting them know it is "rugby league" via social media etc

i have seen a few american articles where they have said "rugby league", instead of "rugby"

I would absolutely piss myself watching GI trying to play NFL

even if they have the physical attributes, they still have to understand the game. even though hayne has only played a couple of games, i'd say he has watched it alot.
p.s. GI isn't going anywhere! :x

He may be too old, but Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, Blake Ferguson, and Latrell Mitchell are not. Plus they are members of the 2015 Sydney Roosters system, which gives them a lot of international credibility.

Latrell.....he has the name of a NFL player.........may be he could change his name to Latrine....that would attract more attention.

Hayne has watched a lot of NFL games.

If his success in the USA continues he will probably go down in the history books as one of the greatest Australian sportsmen of all time. Dally M winner twice followed by NFL stardom is hard to match.

Given the fundamental differences between rugby league and American football, it makes the notable achievements of successful league-union cross coders like Sonny Bill Williams look puny by comparison.
