Maybe Hayne wants to contribute more to the team, however it's pretty hard playing as a battering ram of the wing. Giev the guy credit for speaking up though, he is obviously not happy, and tbh i cannot blame him.

lol i wanted Burt to start there as well for the simple fact that i wanted him to regain his form from last year, and for team dynamics, however the experiment has failed, plan B i reckon.

Rd 17, pretty much the same time Hayne started playing FB last year....tick tock:lol:

I still can't get over the fact after the way Hayne finished the season at FB he wasn't given first crack. Instead they try to make him a centre and give the spot to Burt. But Burt has has 17 rounds to prove himself and he is not doing the job.

Hayne is a potential superstar at fullback while Burt will only ever be handy at best. As for the stupid arguement that he is leading point scorer, so was Joel Caine :roll: We need something so spark us this season maybe this will be a starting point.

Hayne has every right to come out with those comments.

He finished last season as one of the top fullbacks in the game, and what reward does he get? supercoach hagan....

Hagan has no idea. Hayne is the premier back in our team, and is the only one there who in 10 years time will be considered one of the greats of his era.

Great post!

I was all for Hagan giving Burt first crack at the job, however he hasn't proved consistent enough in the position, time too make way for Hayne.

yep, and you wonder why he's frustrated, he purely wants one position and one position only, he's not a player that wants to be versatile ( each to there own) he just wants stability.

next time you shave, try standing closer to the blade.

its great to have a player who is ambitious and always want to do more for the team. Who is always thinking of new ways to lift his team and putting his hand up to do more work.

Hayne is one of our best players he wants to get involved and playing at fullback he is going to get involved with the team by touching the ball every single time they kick it, he can make a break and he can run harder than burt so its a win win for us.

I have been waiting for something, someone to say something and at least he has come out and said I WANT TO HELP PARRA WIN, GET ME INVOLVED PUT ME SOMEWHERE THAT I CAN HELP ...

He is one of our weapons, use him ... put burt on the wing if you want him to play in the team ...

I would much rather our coach decide who plays fullback, not a member of our playing staff, rightly or wrongly, if he Hages starts picking Hayne at 1 than he'as weak as piss and we should get rid of him now.

I'm predicting a major fall out from this...I would imagine that Luke wouldn't be the only player taken back by the comments.

Ok so when Hindy and Cayless last year give it the younger players for throwing the ball around and wanting to score off everything that was right yeah, saying it in the papers was good yeah ...

Burt is part of the leadership group .. as if they are going to drop him no matter how bad he is going ... his goal kicking has been crap all year .. yet he still is goal kicking ... concearning i find it amusing and concearning that in 17 weeks of football we are 2 weeks away from finding our form .. 17 weeks of crap and now we are 2 weeks ..

Dont think you should use stats to justify your support of one player or the other. Hayne averaged 13 metres per kick return, Tautai averaged 9.5 metres per kick return and Burt averaged 14 metres so not sure they tell the story you are trying to sell.
