I like the team you would like to see it's nearly exactly the same as my best 17 except
I would have big Jennings on the wing not Goodwin and hopefully see Byrnes in there as well , I think we will put together a weapon back line in 17 plus our pack will once again be feared and dominate also with the benefit Farrahs smarts bring I see lots and lots of repeat sets strangling teams with
A the forwards dominating on and off the ball with sheer power
B the halves shining due to time given by forwards maintaining ascendancy
C backs full of strike and speed plus power laying down lots of 4 pointers

i like your team r20 but i am hoping jennings upgrades to the wing position that bryson holds in your team list, i think bryson is best served in the centres than on the wing...we have many backs but we need a beastly tearaway mongrel prop

cheers callmack1 isaac is a great hooker and a gentleman ive eaten at redfern with him over his tenure with souths its sad he is gone thats life lets hope farah picks up his game to do isaac proud...

I'm still not completely sold on Gray & I have reservations on Jennings. Burns looks the goods;fast,skilled & smart!!

Although Murray will only be 19 I think he'll be a surprise packet!

That's my team not Madge's!! I agree;Madge won't try anything interesting or risky.

His team will be picked to create boredom rather than a new & fresh approach!
He should pick the team though on form in the trials & not past performances!

Can't say I totally agree but I do enjoy the creativity.

I like the look of that monster bench though. Mouthwatering to say the least.

That's a strong team which may happen at times next season. Definitely won't be the team to start the season.

How could you possibly know?
Musgrove and walker both played round 1. The conservative option would have been to play Sutton at 5-8th over walker. Hunt was picked over auva'a, sam burgess started at prop. In 2015 grevsmuhl made his debut. In 2014 dylan walker started as 5-8th over Sutton. In 2013 george burgess was given a bench spot despite being a virtual rookie and crocker, the previous years captain was benched in favour of ben lowe. In 2012 farrell was Given first crack at fullback, Reynolds was thrown in the deep end and peats was hooker not luke.
You have no idea what might happen between now and round 1 we could have injuries, sacking players may not perform at training or in the trials so you have no way of being certain.

I just predict Madge will start conservatively (if the squad is fit).
