Because they're likely on contract with 9 and it's unlikely that the other network won't have other commentators ready to fill the void?

No NRL on HD on GEM as promised. Channel 9 breaking promises on Rugby League yet again. Who would have thought? Nice to know they think that a British antique show is more important than Australian Rugby League. Bring back your HD Channel. You record the games in HD and then give the footage to Fox to broadcast. Give yourselves an uppercut!

Sorry if this has been brought up before, but what happened to watching League in HD. I loved it last year but seems as if Channel 9 doesn't even have a HD channel anymore. I only cared for HD because of the sport and hadn't noticed over the Summer months.

Nine for some reason allocated their HD channel to their womens only channel which essentially shows programs shot exclusively in SD. They are just too stupid to know any better I'd say.

Yet the fox replay of the friday night games from 9 are in HD, so obviously they use HD cameras to film it in originally. 9 are merkins, plain and simple.

I highly recommend anyone going to the game to take a "CHANNEL 9 SUCKS: NO HD" sign.

This campaign will be over as soon as Nine does the right thing.

I'd rather that we the fans put the pressure on Nine to get this to happen rather than wait for the deal and have them use it as a bargaining chip.
