when faalogo, wing, issac luke, nigel vagana & greenfield is out, its always gunna be a tough start to the season...
We were promising in patches tonight, we are taking the positive steps towards a win.
Ndaira and Sutton were outstanding i thought, Ndaira is a great back-up hooker, real depth in the dummy role.
Talonoa ( 229 metres) deserves an honourable mention, Dave had a fair game back, Kiddy was good at times. Smith played one his best games for the year. Beau found his way over the line and continues his campaign.
Deano and Paulson were a little stale, Sam went OK but I would have preferred Hegs who has hit some obvious form.
George continues to improve, easing the burden of Luke's loss.
I cant but think Greenfield may have made a massive impact in this one. His injury is hurting.
The sharks were fortunate to take the win, their second half was as uninspiring as our first. Like the Panthers they limped home. But good teams do that and they are one of the leading teams in the comp.
A handful of wrong options and poor execution spoit the show, too many backs in front of the ball passer, ball not being sent out wide. Theres still way too much emphasis on one-out play.
Notwithstanding this , O from 5, its not panic stations yet.
As far as intensity was concerned, we appeared better placed than past games.
A dissapointing loss but plenty of positives, we must be close.
After the match Ricky got grumpy about the JT huddle. What a poor sportsmen he is...much like the trolls that turn up here.
