If Hodges gets off he'll probably be the first Bronco to ever do so (I made this fact up btw).

Just need to quickly get him signed to the Bulldogs.

Rightfully charged. If the f**kwits in the MRC are eve semi-serious, he'll miss the GF.

But it's a "fairytale," so he'll magically get off.

The fact he only got Grade 1 means he will get off. NRL clearly wanted to make it as easy for him to contest as possible. I don't think it warrants a suspension anyway.

No way can he be found guilty if Guerra goes in and says he deliberately jumped to milk the penalty

Of course he can
The judiciary are within their grounds to see through that. It's a mate looking after a mate, they don't have any obligation to accept that obvious horse shit

Guerra will go in to bat for him. This can't be compared to McKinnon. McKinnon was accused of hurt himself, Guerra did actually play for the penalty. Hodges still won't get off though.

Judiciary then appeal if need be. Can always do what has happened in the other code and get a Supreme Court injunction I would assume.

Guerra has said that he milked the penalty!

Asked if he jumped off the ground, as Hodges alleged, Guerra said: “Yep, it’s a bit
like that."

“To be honest, I played for the penalty."

"We will never play for penalties... we are going to stand up. We are going to keep fighting... it's not what we do and we're proud of that," Trent Robinson.

Haha. Of course Easts play for penalties (case in point Guerra on Friday night).

They are also happy to give away penalties when it suits.

Easy solution. Let him play & Cows get a one free spear tackle card to redeem during the GF. Then at full time fire Hodges out of a cannon into the sun. Everyone is happy.

How many weeks will Guerra miss for bringing the game into disrepute. He should miss everything up to SOO 1 next year imo.

Yet when Inglis dives to the ground everyone is in uproar about it and the defender gets suspended for 7 weeks

Clear lifting in the tackle, has to miss a week. Test of nrl's resolve to be serious about respecting McKinnon by showing they are truly serious about not seeing players dumped on their heads.

Anyone else think the NRL had got its priorities somewhat amiss when a missed half hearted punch gets 10 in the bin yet lifting tackles still on.ly amount to being put on report?

I loved when Phil Gould said Wayne Bennett teams don't stay down for penalties, than 5 minutes later Hodges does his best Ennis impression when he gets a tap from Maloney.
