Hodkinson was terrible. Bring back Pearce.

Hokko's defence was invaluable. His kicking game was dire.

Hayne should've spent more time on his side of the field.

Reynolds was poor, he essentially played Hayne out of the attack.

Hodkinson was poor except for that dummy try when Qld was already in positional disarray because of the atrocity carried out against Brent Tate.

Pearce would have scored easily had he been playing because of his superior speed, and Tupou would have scored thanks to a cut out pass from Pearce in the Qld 20 metre area.

Pearce would have stepped on the ball as he tries to kick it and the Maroons would have scored a 100m try.

I disagree completely

If the series is 2 v 0 to the Blues and there are no other half backs available for game three then Pearce should be allowed to play in a dead rubber.

And deny Hodkinson to celebrate the victory with the shield? Dreaming

Not sure how I missed this quality post the first time. Very subtly worded. Nice.

Natheel: have another read.

Well, now we've got a series win, next year we can stop trolling and pick Mullen and Carney.
Can forget Mullen until someone does him the courtesy of putting a team worth feeding around him at club level. He has gone back into his shell again this year now (was probably the last of our players to hang up the boots for the year - to his credit). I can hardly blame him. It's hard to watch us right now, I can only imagine what it's like being out there on the field busting your gut and having Captain Stupid and his merry band of brigands f**king up everything good that you do, not to mention a fullback that would rather be at home in bed.

Carney in a similar boat at the moment, unfortunately. It's been a shame to watch Carney and Mullen's careers both unfold the way that they have... I thought both of them would have had far more decorated careers at this point. Both of them have more actual footballing ability and talent than both of the NSW halves last night put together.

Pearce and Maloney are the form halves of the NRL. They should be reinstated for Game III, otherwise Qld will take advantage of Reynolds' mental problems and win it.

Awesome idea. We'll take out the halves combination that won us our first origin in 9 years and replace them with a halfback that played in 5 series losses. Brilliant!

Obviously you're delusional. You must have missed Pearce blowing a much easier try when he had a 5 on 3 overlap. Also you must have missed Hodkinsons rock hard defense and that nice chip he put on for Tupou which led to Slater being trapped.

Yes we won but the reality is that Hodkinson was a passenger for 99% of that game.

It's not a good sign when your prop (Gallen) is playing more first receiver than your half back. Yes Gallen is a hog but any dominant half would tell him to get the f*ck out of the way and demand the ball.
