Still enjoying the winning haze myself, as I said before good on him for the move, not really fazed about it at all.
And the bitter statment come in line with you little rant about manly going broke and coaches and players leaving, blah blah blah.

So am i !! - up to replay number 4 on iQ....

The Weidler comment was for Woody.

How about your last effort in this thread?

Incorrect. You initially said Manly can't produce juniors, I countered by saying that Manly must be doing something right considering you've signed at least 3 of them in the past month or two. That's hardly complaining about Parra signing them. Good on you for doing so, I can hardly complain as a Manly fan.

theres no fear here - look hoppa is a great buy, anyone who disputes that is silly so good luck when he finally plays for you.

The problem is this this Parra dont know how to win - and comps arent always won by the best team its all about changing your club culture and having the right blend - parra have neither and are about 3 years away i think to getting even close.

The dogs who like us know how to dig deep are behind you guys in terms of player quality and will still win another before parra will.

As you can see by our efforts this year without a decent half leading us around we know how to dig deep and give it our best shot

Next year we will have more attacking ability with sandow organizing and with the tongas and even Roberts

We have good juniors secured from our club and others

We r in good stead with sk as coach he's brought in a tougher mentality.

It may have been a dull year in terms of ladder placement but us eels fans can see a bright future

Good on you Hoppa, Good luck - who wouldn't go if the amount of money is anywhere near what has been reported.

I hope he comes back from his mission and gets better.... I imagine it will be hard with two years missing, has anyone come back from 2 years off and become a top level player?

Unintentional consequence, but Hoppa moving westward gives Sheeds & Izzy some more high profile competition amongst the Poly communities.

How am I bitter at being happy we signed someone you gimp? All the whinging has come from Manly supporters.

I still think it's funny that, not even a week after you win the holy graille, a future move by a young player to a rival has you lot back in your bomb shelter being paranoid about what everyone thinks of you again.

Unfortunately Loudstrat, being successful and on top for quite some time creates the paranoia.... it was the story of Caesar's life. Heavy lies the crown.

Now stop flirting with these lads and let us get on with the celebrating. :D

 Just wait til the DVD comes out, you'll be loving that too!
Already ordered for me. at Parra in 2009. You know you would have choked against any team anyway.

Interesting to note since Parra last one a trophy, we have doubled our total.

Hoppa's a fine talent and appears to be a good guy as well. But really, who cares... I'd be concerned if you poached DCE, Foran, Stewarts or any of our back row. We already have Lyon and Matai at centre. I could never figure out where he would play long term in our team anyway.

Lyon only has 2 or 3 years left. Stewart with his knees who knows. Hoppa would have slotted straight in at FB or centre when he returned from his mission if he came back to us.

The funny thing for League fans is he'll probably take roughly 2 years of the big cash plus an incentive up front before his father does something galactically stupid. The whole shebang goes awry and 23 year old Will Hopoate back in the maroon & white counting the hard earned delivered by the revolutionary Triple P crew.

After that exciting period for the tabloids, the next time the kid plays at Parra Stadium the Blue n Gold army will throw coins at him and the world will be once again back to normal.

As a Manly fan all i can say is good luck to the kid!!!

I would love to have tied him up and i think he will come back a be a superstar.

That said i am happy we didnt pay 500k on him for 2014.

Alot can change in 2 years and im happy to re-invest that money in signing up Cherry Evans, Foran, Buhrer, Lussick and T-Rex long term

I heard Parra signed him also.

Yeah we signed Hoppa blah blah 800k a season blah blah.
Bloody hell get off your periods and stop bitching.

Parramatta invested alot in Jamie Lyon and he signed a 5 year contract with Parramatta and wanted out after 1 year so he could follow his daddy Cleal to Manly.

Then we turn around and sign Hoppa.. Doesn't that make us even now?

Suck it up.

I was actually meaning for next season about where he would slot in. IE prior to the whole mormon thing. Nothing to say he wont come back early anyway...

Lyon is 30 in January so he still could have 4 in him yet anyway. Matai is only 27. 28 next year. He is more likely to struggle in 4 years than Lyon to be honest. So 4 years is perfect.

So that's why Manly fans are so cut! You manage to produce THREE juniors since, what, Menzies, and off they go to Parramatta! FMD, Manly make the Roosters look like a fertile breeding ground.

Can't be f**ked reading through 11 pages, but he obviously won't play on the wing. Depending on hayne's development, he'll either play in the centres or at fullback.

The money per season isn't that bad either, considering the salary cap should be significantly higher by the time he's back, and he's obviously one of the top young talents in our game.

It'll be interesting to see if any of the earlier rumours involving Quade Cooper will still happen. If so, Parramatta will have 3 of the top attacking players in our competition
