Horribly under-rated bands

So this is basically a thread where we name our favourite band/artist "HevyDevy"? Haha.
Townsend may be known as God to some, but he will never be near the actual God - Ronnie James Dio.

Seriously though, one band that immediately comes to mind for me is The Chasm, an amazing Death Metal band from Mexico that are really overlooked.

Im going to nominate Megadeth here because people seem to only ever compare them to Metallica given the bands histories. I dont know how many times ive heard the following:

Q. "hey, do you like megadeth?"
A. "metallica is better"

Obviously they're far from unknown but i think they deserve more recognition in their own right without constantly being compared to one of the most successfull metal bands ever soley because of Dave Mustaine.

I definitely know what you mean Charlie124, they are often compared when their music is quite different. However, it depends who you talk to of course; some people judge them as their own band, including myself, as they should be IMO.
