Their not after a hooker in Bedsy. They want a leader. Something this team has not had since Bedsy and Joey. And if you think it has been kurt or Mullo. They have been nothing compared to the quality leadership Bedsy and Joey showed. I actually think house was going to be that leader on the park we having been trying to get . In a time of turmoil like this Bedsy is what we need.

Spot On. Zero leadership at the club for a few years now. It would be nice if Ben Cross could get on the park and lead the pack, Mullo needs to pull his finger out and and step up as well - no excuses for him from now on - we are all aware he has not had a decent halfback to work with but hey that aint changing anytime soon. Nearly six years of first grade is enough of an apprenticeship you would think. Time to step up and run the show.

Kidley is a workhorse, I have no complaints about him in that regard. If every Knights player put in the same effort the he does, Newcastle would be top 4 certainties every year.

It's funny people talk about Joey's leadership, because I remember when he took over the captaincy in 2001 there was a concern that it'd be a step-back after having old-stays like Butts and the Chief leading the team on the field.

I was more using it as an example than stating he would be and i wasn't referring to his skill level. But Chief, Butts, Johns (maybe Peden) and Bedsy. I look at them and for some reason i don't see kurt in the same image. As far as on field leaders go.

I have refrained from making any comment on the Wicks & Houston issue so far however the way I see it is how can the Knights be held accountable for these fools & say the club has a drug problem. If the players tested positive to drugs then absolutely. Unless you were say a politician or police officer nothing would be said about the employer unless of course nothing was done about it such as being sacked. Also if they were distributing illicit porn after hours via an online swingers site would the club be labled as the pimp. I feel the club should be commended by acting swiftly instead of the secret boys club as pointed out on 4 Corners.
