Wouldn't it be great to see some of those supporters at Mt Smart on a regular basis? How do we get the same atmosphere, flag waving, singing, cheering at the Warriors games too?

Winning would be a good start!

Yes winning well will definitely help. Because they're islanders, I would look for ways to drop the price of tickets, a good mix of island music, try to avoid Sunday games, bring in college cultural groups to perform chants (free entry) and get the players to be more proactive in their promotions with the islanders.

Also a mascot. A talented, fun and funny one. Islanders love to laugh. Benny the Bull from the Chicago Bulls would keep any crowd pumping. We need something like him.

Name change.
Samoa Tongan New Zealand Warriors.
:)
We got heaps of polynesians and thats great but we need more white guys. Simon Mannering is a southren man and those guys get up early in the morning and work overtime at night.

We should just be called the Warriors and take New Zealand out. Its a little annoying sometimes when Aussie teams beat us and they call us New Zealand in their interviews.

Pretty sure that they took NZ out of their name back in the early-mid 2000s, but it seems to have stuck in Aussie

Much like the super rugby where the provincial names were dropped years ago but the Aussies still say Auckland Blues, Canterbury Crusaders etc

Winning is a huge part of it, but not all of it. It's also playing with passion and pride. As a fan it's hard to emotionally invest in your side if you feel like some of the players aren't even invested in their own team.

Newcastle nights were shit-town last year, but their fans kept turning up because at the least the players were giving it their all. Warriors fans started giving up as soon as the players started giving up.

So it's a culture change needed. And of course, winning.

warrior marketing should be jumping all over this
Perhaps have a day celebrating Samoan independance day close to a home game and get RTS to front the campaign and have all Samoan passport holders come in for free and just pay for their kids tix etc
Same for celebrating the Tongan culture
Same for Maori culture and have Isaac front it (if hes in the team)
But u get my jist
