First of all, whats with these absurd "what if's"

A judiciary isn't going to make a decision based on, as you describe here, Billy Slater was mimicking John Cleese in the Monty Python sketch about silly walks.

All you are doing there is trying to justify your biased hatred of the team and the player and thus, have absolutely no objectivity whatsoever.

You don't want to see it as anything else other than a blatant intentional incident when there is too much doubt to suggest that is at all the case.

The most absurd what if is what if Klemmer tackled Slater in the air.
Doesn't matter now, players are free to jump in the air studs facing out.

Absolutely correct. It's foul play, it's in the rule book. Simple as

Even as a Storm fan I was shocked he got off, had carry over points from just last week...oh well I will take it, Cheers to Klemmer for coming out and saying it was accidental.

That is absolute disgraceful. Any player in the game outside of the big 3 for the storm would be on the sidelines at least for a couple of weeks.

He has to be one of the dirtiest players in the game and the only thing worse is he is protected for it.

I can't be bothered reading 26 pages of responses . . . so I don't know how many times this has been said before . . . .
When Slater was taking the bomb mid-air, his foot was initially in a natural and non-dangerous position. Then for no good reason, he extends his foot, intentionally changing it's "path" through the air as he is airborne and travelling forward.
Crucially, he looks down at his now extended foot and the imminent point of impact. Split second stuff, but absolutely no need to extend the foot like he did. Then to look at it, and realise where it is going to connect removes any hint of innocence.
It looked intentional when approached with any logic.
For him to say afterwards that he was protecting himself proves that he extended his foot intentionally, and simply waited for his flight through the air to connect his re-positioned foot to Klemmer's head.
Amazing that people really think it was an accident.

Sanity has prevailed.

Take the ridiculous penalty against Slater away (and last night's game in general) and the decisions of the officials have been noticeably better this season.

Bullshit that Slater got off. Protected Grub!!

He probably needs to decapitate someone to get a serious suspension.

This is the same MRC that decided that slater hitting Winterstein late and in the head with a flying shoulder was only sufficient enough for a grade 1, so not at all surprised.

He'll continue to do it, they'll continue to "not his go" it, then someone else will do it and they'll get suspended. Same thing happened with him sliding in with his studs on people scoring tries.

Completely premeditated. That was his attempt to avoid being tackled when he landed, but it doesnt make it any less scummy. Bill is a dirty player, always has been. Funny to hear the commentary box all defending him, saying what an honest player he is. This is the same bloke that goes studs first into players defending the goal line.
