How many weeks for Graham

They have news scheduled @ 6. Since the live game with the 4pm kick offs started, they have run into their news slot every time.

Over 2 hours to complete what should effectively be a 90 minute game shows how many stoppages there are these days.

Still don't understand why they didn't choose 3:45pm (which effectively would kick off around 4pm anyway)

As for this incident, as a serious response - do we now have to outlaw a chargedown in case it goes wrong (which is exactly what this is)?

Not IMO, but you penalise the instances where it does go wrong (which is exactly what happened).

I think a lot of the anger about this comes from their being so many rule changes that so many fans don't know the current rules of the game
10 years ago this wouldn't of been a penalty. Charging down kicks at the kickers legs wasn't illegal and many players did it. Steve Price was the master at it and probably done about 20 of these a year and was praised for doing so. Then about 7 or so years ago scott prince got injured by one of these attempted charge downs, then Darren lockyer got injured in a similar way a week later leading to wayne Bennett having a big cry about it. This led to a crusade to protect the kickers legs and brought about the rule change we have now. We haven't had many people stupid enough to dive at peoples legs in the last 7 years that when it finally does happen not many people know about the rule change

Also, I think a lot of the anger comes from the fact that it really did feel wrong that the Dogs lost. They did everything right including reclaim the lead late with a brilliant field goal, only to have the game snatched away under such freakish circumstance. That alone is enough to piss anyone off. Throw in a bit of controversy and you have a recipe for bottle throwing.

I'd dare say Morris should have been sent off for kicking a player in the head which would never allowed him to play the 2nd half and score his try.

But hey, WGAF?

The ending we got was so much more fun.

Doesn't make it right (throwing the bottles). Hopefully the culprits are found and banned.

It seems to me unnecessary to go for a players legs during a charge down? If you can get close enough to smother the ball right off the kickers boot you can get close enough to block it with your body? Graham is just a goon who doesn't put two thoughts into the things he does - as evidenced by his tackling technique.

Agree.

Wouldn't it be better balanced if they had less time for pre-game banter & some time for post game analysis.

I seriously think Graham intended to bite that ball right out of the air and would have rightfully been hailed a hero.

Reynolds, being a typical merkin, had to go and f**k it up for Graham.

And after the week Coke had, I definitely think all the bottle throwing was a publicity stunt to get their product on all the newsreels.

Also - who is the f**king genius that lines the tunnel walkway with a kids slip and slide?

To his credit, the moment after the tackle he was signalling the referees down because he could see Reynolds was hurt. To say he's a goon or puts no thought in is a bit unfair.

No charge downs aren't outlawed , but the steve price style of charge down where you throw your body at a kickers feet has been outlawed for at least 5 years now.

Ok everybody, lets play "Guess the Doggie suspensions".

Four points for a correct answer.
Three points for one week out.
Two points for two weeks out.
-1 point for for each week out (from 3 weeks off).

I will guess what they will get.

Guess
James Graham 4 weeks.
David Klemmer 2 weeks.
Josh Morris 3 weeks.
Sam Kasiano 2 weeks.

Should get
James Graham 5 weeks.
David Klemmer 2 weeks.
Josh Morris 6 weeks.
Sam Kasiano 3 weeks.

Utter and absolute garbage - how many sides have lost golden point? Lots! Did they cause this level of trouble? NO.

So you're saying what Graham did was a lot worse than what Kaufusi did to Benji a few weeks ago which got 1 week?

Graham should get at least 4 for being a merkin with the ref, plus 2-3 for the charge

Klemmer should also get 4 for the refs

Simply can't have players doing that shit
