Well his dad collapsed at the game and rushed to hospital so it’s no shocker his emotions were running high

Wayne Bennett is using this excuse too

If it was that bad where is his duty of care to his player?

Sadly multiple times a year we hear a player is playing a game just days/hours after a family member has passed away. There was a story a couple of years back where a sharks player played less then 24 hours after his sister died in a car accident. Don’t recall any of them thugging it up for no reason.

The expectation is not to try and kick the bloke in the face.

Like, folks saying that he was trying to get free are still missing the point. He wasn't just shaking his leg around or trying to wriggle it free, he lashed out with a genuine kick.

He's got far too much grubby shit in his game and it's totally unnecessary. Why did he have to hit Nofo at all? The ball was long gone

Rubbish. How do you kick someone when they are holding your leg? You don't, but you do kick your leg free, with force. "Wriggle" or "shake" your leg free - hahaha sure, that would work. Little jiggle here, little jiggle there...

And the suspension does nothing for the tigers. Players who are suspended should have a game of their suspension delayed until the next match against the club they got it playing against.

So player x gets a 4 week suspension for a high shot against the Tigers in 2021.
Serves 3 games immediately, then has 1 more to serve in 2022 next time he plays the Tigers.

All great, until player x signs with the Tigers in the off season.

So if latrell is hanging on to someone after making a tackle you're completely ok with a kick to the face?

Don’t hold on to a blokes leg, don’t get kicked. Pretty simple stuff really.

He didn’t deliberately kick someone in the face, he kicked himself free of being held. The fact that Garner had his head in the way was totally his own doing.

If he isn’t being a grub, he doesn’t get kicked. He knew what he was doing.

Green light to kick latrell in the face noted. Hope he doesn't hold on to anyone again in a tackle...

That's a specific instance where the club deserves dispensation

Mate you are way off here. How many penalties are there for players being held down every game? 6,7? So you’re saying on every single occasion the offender should be free game to be kicked in the head?

So a bit like a guy holding your arm gives you a right to elbow him across the face.
A stupid ridiculous excuse that is not accepted normally unless its an NRL pet.
