Has he even apologised for the hit?

Anyone else still dirty about the play? I sorta wished he could keep playing so he can join nrl roulette. More he plays the more chance of him getting injured.

Just listened to Gould and co trying to defend it......and using the old we who played the game at this level understand card. They should be held to account.

What is sad in all this is that no one is showing any care for Manu. He's the one drinking through a straw for a month.

As I said he is damn lucky to get 6 weeks. It was a dangerous and totally reckless tackle that smashed a guys face
Gould's a goose.
"They've knocked two teams out tonight, they've basically knocked two teams out of the competition, they've knocked their premiership chances out tonight," Gould said. "They've basically handed the grand final to the Storm and the Panthers tonight, they've handed the final to the other two sides".

Couldn't have anything to do with a reckless high shot that broke a guy's face? Couldn't have anything to do with Mitchell having a record longer than his arm? Souths have no-one to blame but Latrell.

And how Gould thinks the refs last night are responsible for the Roosters plight??????

Anyone who didn't watch the game curious why this thread is 15 pages, after the hit he was incredulous that he got binned then came back on to score a try and threw the ball down at a roosters players head.

Unhinged.

And Joey is someone he apparently likes.

JAC is his bestie and I've seen him nearly get in a biff with him as well.

Ch 9 coverage is old and miserable just like the personalities hosting it. They all look like they've been dragged into the studio kicking and screaming and would prefer to be anywhere but there.

They need a desperate freshen up.
Hopefully 7 or 10 win the next rights so we never have to listen to Gus or Joey again.

Edit : Sterling is the exception, by far the best in the media, shame he's going.

100 per cent. Even ABC. At least it would be fresh and/or serious. f**k Joey off, Locky off, Gould off, that other young bloke off, Gal, the lot.

Gus came out and said similar stuff after Latrells hit against the Tigers earlier in the year. His brain is that mush he thinks good players shouldn't get suspended from big games.

Every single upper body tackle takes the risk that the ball player will drop 6 inches at the last second either from falling or being tackled by someone else and a good impact on a shoulder becomes a nasty high shot. That does not mean there is any intent. Some of the social media nonsense has been absolutely ridiculous. People arguing Latrell was targeting his head are off their head.

If this is treated like a worst category tackle when it clearly isn't solely because of how severe the injury is then there is absolutely no justice in the system.

And about "in society" you can kill someone with your car and not get any jail time at all if your actions weren't deliberately dangerous.
I reckon it was deliberate as he didn't hold back there was intent -should have been referred directly to the judiciary - In Coman's Judiciary days Latrell Goolagong would get double digit weeks

well how would you propose we get Manu back on the field exactly ?
Agree. Just trying to make the point that while Latrell has been appropriately punished (some may say not punished enough) the poor innocent bloke who had his face smashed and his season ending is not happy.

Obviously no way for the league to make that right, but undeerstandably Manu and the Roosters are still probably feeling aggrieved.
