The question is DID he mean to hit in face?
The answer is NO.

Penalise / sin bin/ send off for careless tackle ....no argument.

Did he mean to hit him hard and knock the stuffing out of him ? Sure , however
this is judged as a great tackle if legal.

Shoulder charge ? I do not see a shoulder charge , connected with arm open not cocked. If he would have hit Manu's chest /shoulder would have been very forceful tackle and would have stopped Manu's momentum, knocked the ball out perhaps .....legal tackle. Most definitely would not have been penalised.

Anyone who thinks or says that LM intended to hit Manu in the face.
they are welcome to their opinion.

However all I say,Considering the camera would pick it up and the rules , why would he do that?If that was his intent ........then NRL should ban him for life.

Great tackle went wrong.......just like the week before when Mansour who was going down connected a knee to face. No charges. Duty of care question is the same for me in both situations.Showing the aftermath PHOTOS does not change what happened or the intent.

Hypocrites at their worst.
you're more cooked than Perenara

There's one thing that is absolutely conclusive in all this.

Souths fans are the dumbest f**ks that ever existed.
Yeah, we finally have confirmation…

If souths fans are so sure it's only careless and not reckless why don't you petition the club to challenge the charge at the judiciary?

The club knows he doesn't have a leg to stand on and are taking their licks.

i did see a raised elbow though which suggest he did try to maim him..just wondering who are those who are hypocrites?

1. you dont know what he meant.
2. It was as blatant a shoulder charge as you will see
3. Even if he didnt hit him high he was in the bin for a deliberate shoulder charge

Just because Cleary got away with a shoulder charge I dont think you can honestly say this is anything but a shoulder charge, his hand is on his arse!

Have to be careful with using still imagery in a fast-paced game. Even slo-mo can struggle to depict accurately what happens in an incident like this. I don't think it was a 'blatant' shoulder charge at all, I think he timed it poorly and recklessly flying over the top to hit Manu.

I'm not even sure Latrell has, or should have come off the worst in all this. For me, it's Gus. What a f**kwit. None of us know anything because we never played in the Winfield Cup. Please.

In Gus' world, if you are a star, you'd have to basically pull out a hand gun and shoot someone in the attacking line to be punished. And even then I feel like he might advocate for 10 in the bin.

Rugby league fanaticism has proven yet again that some fans (from all/any club) will defend the indefensible. A player could shank someone in a scrum and there'd be some fans defending the action.

@yobbo84 seems to be the only souffs fan I've encountered that understands the difference between careless and reckless. The rest are doing a stellar job of fulfilling the stereotype.

The club‘s also not doing anything about its accusation of Robbo abusing Su’A. Corey Parker was on the sideline and backs Robbo’s version of events.

Why thank you. I also see my dentist every 9 months, have many leather-bound books and my whole apartment smells of rich mahogany.

Most Souths fans are trolling. We just don't get the big deal as the same injury happened to Sammy B who went on to play 80 mins, win a Clive Churchill and then delay surgery for 3 days so he could get on the piss for 48 hours straight.

Sam would‘ve left the field if it were just a club game, though.

Little bit different when it's a GF. Manu might have kept playing if it was. You're not playing on adrenaline in round 24

They were probably worried that if they took him to hospital he would belt the nurses.

Seriously though, a chick played the netball GF on weekend with a broken rib, Sammy Burgess the whole GF with broken cheek bone, Ben Hunt played with a broken leg, Cronk the whole GF with one arm.
Manu comes off crying and the whole roosters organisation breaks out into tears.
Roosters need to harden up as an organisation, the Storm mental toughness that Cronk instilled is gone.

Oh please. Blake Ferguson played the last 30-40 minutes of the 2018 Grand Final with a broken leg. Shaun Kenny-Dowall played most of the 2013 Grand Final with a broken tooth and a fractured jaw. So you want to continue this pissing contest?

Trent Robinson's issue was, as he said at the press conference, we have in at least two matches this year seen players badly injured due to (at best) reckless play by a tackler, yet on neither occasion was the offending player sent off, and only on one occasion was a player binned.

As to the players' reactions, how would you feel if someone who described you as a good friend broke your cheekbone in a sporting game? You'd be there shaking hands and laughing with him/her right after it would you, especially if they carried on like Latrell did on the night?

Rabbitohs supporters think that playing with injuries in big matches is only a trait that only belongs to the South Sydney Rabbits..Jack Bird played in the GF with an hyper extending elbow..
