Seriously though, a chick played the netball GF on weekend with a broken rib, Sammy Burgess the whole GF with broken cheek bone, Ben Hunt played with a broken leg, Cronk the whole GF with one arm.
Manu comes off crying and the whole roosters organisation breaks out into tears.
Roosters need to harden up as an organisation, the Storm mental toughness that Cronk instilled is gone.
INTERNET TOUGH GUY ALERT!

Seriously though, I'd love to see how you'd go with shoulder to the face...

There really is no defence for what Latrell did. I didn’t hear what Gould said in commentary during the game or last night but given what I have read it is disappointing. His views deserve to be extinct there is simply no defence for what Latrell did both in terms of the contact, it certainly wasn’t a legitimate tackle, and immediately after post tackle where his attitude was laid bare for all to see. i can no longer watch replays, I turn away, I can’t watch, just disgusting. If one of my teams players was involved in such an incident I can unequivocally say I would support whichever punishment was handed out.

Throw the book at him. Our game does not need this mindless thuggery. Someone mentioned Rava.. his hits are illjudged, even reckless but not intended to deliberately hurt.. unlike Mitchell's. He took off across field like a spooked bull to do one thing.. put Manu out of play.

Oh please....I am sick of the hypocrites

Did LM mean to hurt Manu.

Most definitely ..........he was coming in hard to knock the stuffing out of Manu , stop the momentum and perhaps dislodge the ball. If he did , it would have been a great tackle.

Instead , Manu was pulled lower in tackle as LM was coming in , and a great tackle went bad , high hitting Manu in the cheek.

Sure penalise , ok sin bin , ok send off .....however the extreme hypocrisy is a JOKE.

The week before Mansour , gets hit in the face with a knee that opens him up. Could have been a broken jaw, broken cheek bone , luckily just a very bad head knock and gashed head. Not even a penalty .

Both tackles , were CARELESS tackles that went wrong. Yet , "nothing" for the Mansour tackle and hysteria on the Latrell tackle.

YES Lattrell meant to hit hard , hurt the chest .......split second and a great tackle went bad. Mansour hit by a knee to head when he is down.........ONE tackle has duty of care and hysteria and the other is BAD Luck.

Media is fickly full of clowns like this forum.

At best it was going to be a forceful shoulder charge, there was no attempt to tackle him. At worse, well we saw what happened. It was reckless, pretty much everyone agrees it was extremely reckless, including the judiciary, except Gould and some Souths fans lol

Someone needs to to remind NRLHQ of the chairmans edict a few weeks ago:

"We will not tolerate any hit above the shoulder, on the neck or the head region. Any foul play will be penalised heavily. We’re going to get all that out of the game,"- Vlandys

The incriminating shot is the one at first contact, his shoulder is forward and his arm is behind him. He is stood upright. You look at that shot and have to question if it wasn't deliberate.

The question is DID he mean to hit in face?
The answer is NO.

Penalise / sin bin/ send off for careless tackle ....no argument.

Did he mean to hit him hard and knock the stuffing out of him ? Sure , however
this is judged as a great tackle if legal.

Shoulder charge ? I do not see a shoulder charge , connected with arm open not cocked. If he would have hit Manu's chest /shoulder would have been very forceful tackle and would have stopped Manu's momentum, knocked the ball out perhaps .....legal tackle. Most definitely would not have been penalised.

Anyone who thinks or says that LM intended to hit Manu in the face.
they are welcome to their opinion.

However all I say,Considering the camera would pick it up and the rules , why would he do that?If that was his intent ........then NRL should ban him for life.

Great tackle went wrong.......just like the week before when Mansour who was going down connected a knee to face. No charges. Duty of care question is the same for me in both situations.Showing the aftermath PHOTOS does not change what happened or the intent.

Hypocrites at their worst.

1. you dont know what he meant.
2. It was as blatant a shoulder charge as you will see
3. Even if he didnt hit him high he was in the bin for a deliberate shoulder charge

Just because Cleary got away with a shoulder charge I dont think you can honestly say this is anything but a shoulder charge, his hand is on his arse!
