i don't think it should be mandatory to pay for the site... but i think a voluntary paid subscription for added value/benefits on the website would be popular to the core posters of the site, and would bring in a fair bit of extra cash.

if people want to pay to support the site and the community, they should be able to in some way other than clicking on banners. it will probably create a bit of a "class-divide" within the community between paid and unpaid members, but in a way - so it should. people helping to pay for this sites continued maintenance, server costs/bandwidth and development of new features SHOULD be considered higher up and more valuable in the community.

i would certainly pay for a subscription to the site, and i'm sure many others would too.

Could I just ask you Suity, would you pay to use these forums if you had to? Not a loaded question with any ulterior motives, just completely out of curiosity as others have said in other threads that they would gladly pay to post here.

I would certainly consider it. I suppose it would depend on how much, and whether the payment option would disenfranchise many people.

very kind thoughts, but money wont solve the current server congestion problems
