Of course Danny Weasel and probably Fox supports the Titans management on this move patting them on the back for giving a bloke no notice and no feedback his job was in jeopardy..apparently, saying that is the brutal business of RL
Told you Des loves flying under the radar
If we had done that to say Hook no doubt we would of been a basket case and poorly run club and all our players want releases.. just saying
But we are a poorly run club.

Agreed - except I would go after Salary Cap as opposed to cash... whoever gets Hunt pays for one of our players under their Salary Cap (and releases that player back to us). I have said elsewhere I think a figure of $250K per season for the two seasons ($500K) is more than fair as this will throw our Recruitment into mayhem. All our plans were around Hunt being here for at least two more seasons. We do have up our sleeve that two clubs (Bulldogs and GC) have been talking to Hunt about next year as stated by Hunt in TV interviews. The NRL have already reminded Hunt's management of anti-tampering rules and asked him to remind Ben. Without our release Ben will be going no where.
I would wait and see how Hunt plays Friday night... he hasn't looked like a player who is stressed so far this season and l suspect that he may still play with integrity... if so Flanno 'may' be able to talk him around. Finding another captain in our squad is hard... which should be our first priority now.
I agree with all your point except for his integrity. That went out the window the moment he spoke to other clubs and is now pulling out the family card

There's a distinction. His personal integrity went out the window the moment he spoke to other clubs and is now pulling out the family card. His footballing integrity remains intact, at this stage.

Integrity further tarnished with story yesterday stating wouldn't let his team mates down but Ben what does an immediate release mean..
He has been found out and now trying to minimise damage to himself for acting illegally whilst under contract

Completely agree that this further tarnishes his personal reputation. My point is that his footballing integrity, which is what he does on the field, remains intact.

Channeling Nostradamus, wishful thinking, both, or have you heard something?
When the shit hit the fan, Ben did a backpaddling interview. It was screamingly obvious that he'd been given legal advice to take cover on a few issues: I'm going to play, other clubs have had a quiet chat with me .... AND Ben himself said that Hook is a person he'll be seeking advice from .... which I consider a 'clanger' in this context. These two guys are like Russian dolls.
Watch this space I reckon.

i must say the weather is nice up here.

I know exactly how you feel, I must be a few hundred metres north of you. @Palmy
The weather we’ve had the the last week or 2 can only be described as mint.

Palm Beach Qld?

As a kid we had holidays there almost every year from 18 months old to near 18yo. Beautiful spot. I took my family back there a couple of times when they were little.
