As a fan of this club since, well check my username, I want this club to stand up
and demonstrate a backbone here. It’s unfathomable that Hunt could be allowed to jump ship to a GF contender to finish this season. A simple transfer fee IS NOT ENOUGH. The principle is important here. I’d rather they pay him for the rest of the season and either stand him down or let him finish his time here in reserve grade. If he is allowed to just walk out and into a team at the top of the table then I’m going to have to seriously reevaluate whether I can continue to support a team run by spineless cowards. This is the time they need to be taking the high moral ground. F#ck Hunt and F#ck the Broncos.

The Dragons are coming last. We have literally nothing to lose by hanging onto him. Other clubs want him for their run to the finals/to have a doofus hooker-who-doesn't-want-to-play hooker. They can't just surrender that leverage.

I agree with everything you've said....if our mob agree to let him go to the Donkeys then this will be one of the worse decisions ever made by our club and imo the NRL should intervene in this matter in some form especially due to the fact he is under contract.....if this is allowed to go ahead then does it set a precedent that in the future any player or players in the NRL that are still under contract and playing for example in a bottom side (or any side for that matter) can jump ship and go and strengthen another team viying for a premiership ....it's basically unethical and immoral imo

Just wrote to Webb and Lancaster and politely stated my views on the matter.

Basically no release without compensation. If that means he sits this season out (or even the next two after that) then so be it.

Good on you for writing ........unfortunately the presser will go something like...... weve had a meeting with Ben this morning and after much deliberation have agreed to release Ben from the club effective immediately.... Ben is obviously unhappy here atm and for family reasons he wants to go back to Qld .....Ben has given us many years of good service and lead by example and given his all out on the field.We wish Ben and his family well for the future..........then after getting up from the table and leaving the press gallery they can be heard muttering under their breath the spoilt prick

Mate after supporting this team since 1958 I feel your anger and frustration its total bullshit and if its allowed to go ahead.then its the likes that Ive never seen before....

I'm not sure re the naked streaker bit....not a pretty sight at my age.....BUT !!!!! I would be interested in forming a group to visit the Donkeys and Titans games and letting their tyres down in the carpark
