who gives a f**k what my name means, i was born in derry,i'm 42 [hence 69] and i'll stand up for myself [hence fighting] big deal,... i have a username.. maybe you dont like irish people... i couldn't care less.

Thanks for the clarification. I just thought your name was sophmore gibberish that was a pain in the arse having to spell due to the lack of punctuation and space.

and how are people like myself stopping the game from going national?. queensland teams are in the national comp. big deal. the damage is done now and wont be undone. i support expansion, just not at the expense of existing top class competitions like the brl/state league was.

Fans like you clamor for the 'good ol' days' and have trouble accepting the evolution of Rugby League and the shift from the burbs into the major cities. You moan that fans don't care enough about a second tier filled with clubs with rich histories while constantly knocking succesful entities because they don't operate in a way that you don't agree with.

fightingirish69 said:
and all i've been saying is the queensland chip on the shoulder is out dated, and does nothing for the game ..especially the international game.

How has it affected the International game? That's a bit of a stretch.

As much as this is a troll thread you'd be very naive to think a Sydney entric attitude doesn't exist within the game. It was only a week or so ago when one of the biggest media personalities put forward his idea of a conference system featuring a Sydney side and the rest and even last year there was plenty of press about how good it was to have an all Sydney grand final. It's not just exclusive to the media either, I've seen plenty of posters say the same on here.
Run mainly by the media. The Telegraph will run stories that are pro Sydney teams, while the Courier Mail acts as if 90% of is Brisbane.

BTW, since when did Gus Gould think like the majority??

This thread was started to bag NSW based supporters. Look closer to home for the problem.

It's not a big deal and this thread screams of poor sportsmanship but the denial by some of this existance is humerous.
Just as laughable as your ignorance of the point of this thread. Bronco-centric or what?

Seriously BP, this thread is akin to LU's sewer. I mean, it's clearly loudtard's favourite hang spot, where he can spit all his guile and keyboard heroics about the Broncos and Queensland, especially now Broncos and Lockyer are way too close to another premiership for comfort. The old fart won't survive if it happens, which is another reason why I really hope it does.
Bronco trolls are far dumber than most trolls. AU, you need classes off a higher food chain troll, such as Bunnniesman, Kmav or Gaba

P.S. I've never viewed the Titans as a Qld team and I live on the Gold Coast. I do like the Cowboys and will support them against any other team but the Broncos.
So, the Gold Coast is in...NSW?

You and Greg Inglis had the same geography teacher, right?

I understand but I just wanted to clarify.

The media in general has too much of an influence, particularly when it comes to rep. football.

fightingirish69 - Whatever that name means, it's people like you who stop this game from truly being national.
 Translate: The club that I love and support club's actions killed 2 clubs in Queensland, one in WA, one in NSW and forced 6 others into mergers. But you dont like my club, so you are anti national.

And before you trip yourself over, yes, I know, in 1997 the Broncos served their own interests and prohibited any Queensland cup from entering the competition for five years while the Qld Rugby League market recovered from the major slump. Quick, somebody alert the press!

But of course, when you do, you can also tell them about the Broncos supporting expansion bids in recent years.
:lol::lol: Supportive?

Have they altered from the stance under Cullen that Brisbane can only support one team, and there was no way they could support another Brisbane sides existence? 5 years ago it was "South East Queensland cannot support two teams - therefore we dont want the Titans in"

The Cowboys are ok because they are further away than Melbourne.

Yet you expect all other Queenslanders to get behind the Broncos, who have never supported expansion, and killed off 2 of the other 3 SEQ sides that have ever existed?

Of course, it's all those nasty NSW people picking on Fourex for demanding that support for clubs should strictly be on state lines. And if someone from NSW wont support Manly in the finals, they are anti expansionist, and not as passionate about their state...........

And you are backed up by a gimp who doesnt know which state Southport, Robina and Surfers Paradise are in!!!!!!!!!

Face the facts:
1) Not all Titans or Cowboys fans will support the Broncos in the next fortnight over Melbourne, the Warriors or even Manly.
2) Many Titans and Cowboys fans cannot stomach your club.
3) Expansion has been driven by NSW clubs.
4) Some NSW residents would prefer the Broncos over manly
5) This thread was stared and driven by Brisbane fans wanting to bag NSW, and you cannot acknowledge that!!

True rugby league fans should give a f**k who makes the Grand Final - NSW team or not.

A grand final in RL is a grand final. A semi final in RL is a semi final in RL.

Get out and support the game if your team's out!!

Ya shitheads!

FFS you dumb spastic, it's not the NSW residents in this thread telling everyone who to support or not support!!!!!!!

Are you one of these gimps who thinks Bowraville is in Queensland but the Gold Coast isnt, and the whole point of the preliminary finals is to pretend its state of origin.

Difference is most of these opinions are presented nationally through Sydney based Rugby League programs.

And it's not as if NSW fans haven't made their own thread about the Qld centric attitude up here have they? How big is the Lockyer love-fest thread now?

Loudstrat said:

Never said he did. Just that he was highly publicised and a good example of the type of opinions we're subjected to.

Next time you should read my post more clearly.

You suck as much at translating as you do following the modern game.

It wasn't that he hates my club, it's that he supports a Sydney centric attitude.

Super League b****ing is a whole other thread.

You better have a source handy.

We're playing games in developing League territories and promoting bids such as PNG. And that's just off the top of my head. To suggest we do nothing to expand the game (nobody hasn't, but such a point will likely be brought up) is ridiculous.

Loudstrat said:

I never said that. In fact, learn to read dopey.

Big Pete said:
First off, I don't care if a Cowboys or a Titans fan won't support us. It's up to the individual who they choose to support from here (if they choose to support anyone at all) and really it's refreshing to see somebody not support a side due to proximity.

Remember this? or doesn't it suit your silly agenda?

I have faced all of them. It's not my fault you cannot read.

The Titans junior region incorporates the North Coast of NSW, and they actively promote themselves down there (and from what I've seen, attract plenty of support), so I view them as being partly a NSW team, and partly a Queensland team.

You probably went to the same geography school as GI too, right? :sarcasm:

The Titans strategy is to identify themselves with NSW. Their team is full of NSW'men, they deliberately target the population south of the Tweed (which serves as border between Qld and NSW loudtard), and most of its fans are NSW'kers leeching on the beautiful state of Qld.

JW, most Broncos I know won't support the Tits for the above mentioned reasons, vice versa. You should have a look at our forum (BHQ), and you would find it difficult to discover anything other than a strong dislike of the "Toidans".
It's a completely different story with the Cowboys though, despite what Beave would like people to believe.

lol God forbid that the Titans promote a pathway for jnrs south of Coolangatta and dont just shun them because they come from the other side of the border

This is exactly the attitude that makes me scratch my head. Hating a club because they use players from another state is petty and even a little hypocritical given the amount of NSwelshmen who have come through and still exist in the Broncos ranks.

Well at least the Titans are an alternative to the Broncos. They have plenty of Qlders who are part of the team manangement eg Gilly, Chris Close. When you walk around the streets up here where I live in CQ there are more Titans jerseys worn around the place then Broncos. People are sick of the Broncos basically. Well the Titans are never included in the opening round of Qld teams ..it is as always a boring encounter between the Cowboys and the Broncos. How dull and boring! And if another Brisbane based team does join the comp, they wont matter to anyone. It will always be the Broncos and Cowboys up here. How sucky is that?

I'm not criticising them for their choice, it's probably a sound strategy for them.
I'm just stating facts and explaining why I regard them more as a NSW team than a Qld team, despite of their geographical location.

A lot of people has already explained why NSW'men, especially those from Sydney, don't look primarily to their state when it comes to clubs. And it's understandable as the rivalries between some of those clubs extend well beyond the state rivalry.

The opposite is true for Qld'ers though, and for most, state trumps club when it comes to preferences.

I have no particular hatred for the Titans, I just prefer clubs like Canberra, Panthers, Warriors or Newcastle, outside of the Broncos and Cowboys.

The only clubs I strongly dislike are 50uff$ and Manly.

Well you're right, I did learn my geography at a school in NSW, just like Inglis did. Unlike Inglis, though, I was good at it.

The reason I made that point is that I believe that's what OP was referring to. Not this, your state must support a NSW garbage. Pretty sure Fourex brought that into it so he's earnt himself a Wally Lewis type look of disapproval.

.......sorry Wal.

Just to clarify, again, I don't care who the NSW merkins support. I only care about QLDr's supporting QLD based teams.

Last I looked the GC was a part of Qld. Dont let Frex hear you say that though mate, he'll accuse you of not being a Qlder

Pretty sure AU is a ring in anyway........:sarcasm:.

He's got the right idea though, just needs to work on the Titan hate.

"I'm not fond of the Titans because I see them as a NSW based team, and state trumps clubs in terms of loyalty. I prefer Penrith and Newcastle."

It's funny how often people like AU seek to clarify a comment they made so that people don't think they are idiots - and they actually confirm it.

Like Big Pete demanding I have a reference for Cullen's whinge about expansion clubs in QLD, but he thinks they are helping out somewhere so therefore they are the flag bearers of expansion!

Or quoting Gus Gould as representing that way Sydney fans think, then denying the intention.

All this because you want to back up Broncomum and Fourex in your latest stupid QLD v NSW thing.

Go back to Beave's comments. You make them ring true.

That's the best you could come up with strat? Deny and regurgitate bull s**t that you basically made up, or lines that you distorted?

No wonder you're a laughing stock around here.

Lets be honest though. Supporting the PNG bid is only done to make yourself look good.

PNG has no chance in hell of securing a post in the NRL.... ever.
