Last match here WA v NSW

ALL 40 wickets for the match taken

NSW batted first 268 (Jye Richardson 8/58)
WA 198
NSW 253
WA 212

Lyon (NSW) took 3 wickets per innings
Richardson (WA) 11 for the match
Copeland 7 (NSW) for the match

NSW won by 104 runs, in the 1st session of day 4

Yeah but this looks like a livelier wicket even with the fact it's likely to have been cut back further since yesterday. And that pitch didn't change much over the course of the match.

Honestly it's easy to suggest one or the other from a loungeroom in Canberra, without seeing the wicket up close. But if the pitch is even close to the pitch they've beat it up as being, you'd have to seriously consider bowling first IMO;

-Our batsmen are unlikely to survive the day anyway
-Our bowlers are our strength, so we might as well give them the best conditions
-India hate pace and bounce still, so make them battle through the best bowling period

I just reckon we need to take a risk to potentially get ahead. Is batting first and scoring 250 odd or so really going to worry India? Or is bowling first on the exact kind of wicket they've always struggled on out here and ripping in what they're worried we'll do?

Like you said Baz, deck might not change much over the course of the match

So being 35c heat today, Id be batting first.

Lets face it, anything we do will be a risk cause our batting is weak in any innings

Howie just said the whispers are India is thinking about bowling if they win the toss, we are thinking about batting.

Could be Baz vs TPB for day one!

Win the toss and send them in, day 2 will be easier to bat that day 1 and should be able to get 10 wickets on day 1 on this pitch

Pitch maybe green but it’s not doing too much.

It's looking like a cracker of a pitch, actually.

There's something there if you bowl well, and pace and bounce too...but it's great for batting as well. Proper, something there for bat and ball.

You have to say we are in front at this stage, considering our bowling attack should do well on this pitch

A lot of effort for little reward. In Perth, we should have had them on the ropes by this time, or at least expecting them to call for a towel. We're in the 'limbo' phase at this point in time as far as our future team is concerned. Yes, I'm aware this is day two.
