He’s played well. Fair play to him.

The wicket was far drier than the one from last season It was a terrible call.

I don’t care what your stats say, it was the wrong call. And when we knock 2 or 3 over tonight before stumps it will reinforce it.

So if England batted first and got rolled for less than 250, would that be a good call?

So if???

Who knows what they would of scored but it was a bat first wicket. Instead of looking at stats to inform an opinion looking at the pitch normally is a smarter idea. As I said it was much drier than last seasons.

The ball is (or certainly was) doing enough to beat the bat. I don't have a penetrometer to check the moisture levels, but the groundsman certainly cut the grass to the same level as last year (which was 2mm less than 2015), and there hadn't been baking heat in the lead up.

there were 2 37 degree days mid last week in the lead up.

Instead of a penetrometer maybe look at the deck with your eyes???

It was far whiter than last years.

Play was halted today in the test Sri Lanka v India bc of New Delhi pollution.

Poor Sri Lanka only had 10 fit men at one stage.

Indian fans on Facebook are livid. Calling SL cheats, saying it was a tactic to make India declare, just generally being disgusting.

The pollution index was apparently 384....!

Hardly suprising, the Indian fans are even bigger knobs than their team.

Aussies should bat for two sessions at least if they are in the position to enforce the follow on. The day five wicket especially should be most favourable to bowling.

These two look to have saved it anyway, but we're mental if we don't enforce the follow on should we have the opportunity

I think the English tail end will be finished off quickly once one of these two lose a wicket. If the weather is favourable I would bat again if I were Steve Smith. Give the bowlers a break, make the poms work for their loss.

Nah, disagree. New ball, best time for swing, demoralised batting line up, bowlers loose and having rolled England in pretty much two sessions....definitely bowl. Get two bites that way, the new ball when it swings the most, and then first session tomorrow which is when most wickets fall.

I see it the other way. Bowling out a team twice in succession takes a lot out of the bowling attack. I feel it would be good to give them a break and freshen up. Happy to take this baby to day five days it means the poms have to toil hard and sap whatever energy they have. Anaconda.

there is the break through

its a pretty good batting pitch, these 2 just showed that, I'm a bit 50/50 on whether to enforce it or not

It's a no brainer for me. OZ batting under lights throwing the bat sounds far more appealing.
