2022 Test Schedule for Australia after the current series (assuming all games go ahead).

3 Tests in March v Pakistan (away)

2 Tests in June v Sri Lanka (away)

1 Test in September v Afghanistan (away, but played in India).

4 Tests in Sep/Oct v India (away)

2 Tests in Nov/Dec v West Indies (home).

From what I've seen of our current home season and lineup we are going to have a torrid time of it during this year. The big series is obviously against India, but it's a long series of away games on the sub-continent in total. Our current Test team's figures against India, in India

Warner: 8 games> 3/50's > avg 24.25

Harris: 0 games

Labuschagne: 0 games

Smith: 6 games >3/100's > 1/50 > avg 60.00

Khawaja: 0 games

Green: 0 games

Carey: 0 games

Cummins: 2 games >avg 11 with the bat, 8 wickets with an avg of 30.25

Boland: 0 games

Hazelwood: 4 games > avg 2.00 with the bat, 9 wickets with an avg 32.78

Lyon: 7 games > avg 7.73 with the bat, 34 wickets with an avg of 30.59.

Exciting times ahead.

How pathetic is it that Khawaja has already been on 2 test tours of India and never played a test because he couldn't play spin.

Yet played one ODI series in 2019 over there and won us the unwinnable series with 376 runs at 83 with two hundreds and two fifites. It was our only ODI series win there in the past 13 years too.

to be fair he was a poor player of spin at the time but he seems to have worked all that out now

the silly thing is if they picked him on his form in Australia then took him to India, you have to ask why did they pick him if they never intended to play him ?

anyway, good on him for sticking it up them
