Did I just see a replay of Root getting hit on his todger again? Starting to feel sorry for him.

he's been hit about three times today so far

he's pouring cold water on it now in the dressing rooms to get the swelling down during the rain break

Poms man of the match was the rain.
They’ll claim they battled out a draw but In an unaffected match, they get belted again

At least 10 today. Total overs for the test was 384
We batted too long yesterday. Cummins should have declared when ~300 in front. If they ended up being good enough to chase that down then good on them but the reality is they were never getting near it. In a series you've already win, I'm not sure why you'd be so conservative.

Because we're not as good as we think we are.

There's a bit of a smell of that. But again, our attack has kept them well below 300 all but once in the series, and on a day 5 pitch, our attack should be good enough to win from that position. Gun shy after last year's Sydney test perhaps....

Having a spin bowler with hair and being able to bowl the opposition out on day 5 would help as well.

I agree, time to give Swepson a run for Hobart.

And stop bowling so f**king short, 3 yorkers and 3 wickets, what does that tell you ?

Except for Bowland we really got our lengths wrong yesterday, Green and Paddy were the main offenders.

How many balls would of hit the stumps yesterday??? On a day 5 deck with uneven bounce. It’s not f**king rocket surgery FFS!!

Now that was test cricket.

Shame about the result but how good was that finish ?
Loved it. Poms battled hard for the draw. Didnt begrudge Anderson hanging on. Hes been a magnificent player. Yes Lyn never seems to be able to finish an innings. I guess Warne spoiled us forever.
