The first delivery I ever saw Shane Warne bowl was a beauty (I don't recall who was at the crease, but I remember we were playing South Africa, and it was the 2001 Boxing Day Test, and Warnie went wicketless).
I was never really into cricket, but my cousin was a mad cricket fan (still is to this day), and we sat down to watch the Test. It got me hooked.
Anyway - Warnie bowled to a right-handed batsman a delivery that was wide of leg stump, maybe by a metre or so, and as the ball was in the air, it started swinging to the offside; when the ball pitched, it sharply spun back to the leg side, and struck the batsman on the pads (it was going down legside, so was not given out).
But seeing what he got the ball to do had me watching in disbelief - what a magician.
