Yeah, I agree and he could have batted again if need be, now he can't and we were only 2 down, so 8 wickets wasted
Im all for batting to allow the pitch to deteriorate further but given the lead and how few overs were bowled by our attack it wasnt a great decision. Fingers crossed hes proved a genius today.

Batting again cost us the test, and having a bald straight breaker as your main go to on the last day doesn’t help.

The goat actually does spin the ball, the problem I have with him is every ball is the same, zero variation

Over 400 test wickets and you call him a plodder?
Yep, how many tests has it taken him to get those 400 wickets??? Pretty sure he’s easily got the worst record for a bloke over 400 wickets. How many timehas he bowled us to a win on the last day of a test???

Once again it was tailor made for the so called 🐐 once again he failed to deliver.

The bloke is a myth, if Hauritz played the same amount of tests he’d probably have a similar record. GOAT lol.

f**kING LOL. Hauritz. Yeh right, ok. Your credibility has just dropped to zero.

I know you don't like him because he is bald, and I accept his bowling average is the worst of the top 15 wicket takers of all time, but his average wickets per match (3.92) stacks up in that top 15.
Of the 400 or more wicket takers, he is better than Pollock (3.9), Kapil Dev (3.31), Broad ( 3.53) and Anderson (3.79), and a whisker behind Courtney Walsh (3.93) and Wasim Akram (3.98). Even Ambrose at (4.13) isn't that far ahead and Botham (3.75) is way behind. There are dozens more I could do the figures for that will better his figures per match on average, but we are talking about those who have taken over 400 test wickets.
There is only 17 players in the history of test cricket who have done that.
Is he a legend? Of course not, but he also isn't the useless f**king bunny you make him out to be.

When Hauritz was dropped his record was eerily similar to the supposed GOAT. Hauritz was a pie thrower which was my point.

Excellent reply.
One of these guys has 400 test wickets, and the other has how many?
If he was able to stink up the side as long as the GOAT he too could have a f**k ton of wickets. I ask again how many times has he bowled us to victory on day 5 when needed??? He fails time and time again. The 🐐 lol.

Hautitz probably had more variation than the goat, that's always been my biggest issue with him

Ok. Lets drop him. He's been shite throughout his career.
And who do you replace him with that will do better? Let's also just ignore the stats I produced.
Don't forget, McGill had a better strike rate at test level than Warne, so that must make Warne shit eh?

well Swepson and Zampa both have hair, Alan King would also be a better option for mine

personally, I prefer wrist spinners over finger spinners any day, Lyon was very fortunate for a long time that no one was really putting pressure on him as first class level, not so much now.

I'm not the biggest fan of Lyon but he's not as bad as he's being made out to be. He's also playing in an average Australian team so the blame should be shared more evenly throughout the 11.
