Ton to Smudger and 150 to Head, both still not out.

No dust bowls for India to bowl on in Ingerland

gee we're in a good position here

India's attack is not so potent outside the dust bowls of India, I wonder how long before the BCCI wants it moved to India.

We haven't won anything yet but you would hope we don't f**k it up from here

He's played over 70 less tests, IMO he is second only to Bradman. If he didn't have 12 months stolen off him his record would be even more impressive. I don't think he's been the same play since the layoff.
Yes Sandpaper and Covid hitting smithy in his prime has cost him 10-12 more 100s at a minimum.

How many more potential tests could he have played without those 2 issues hitting.

I hate to steal Pommy Kiwi tactics but surely if there’s any test to force the follow on, it’s this one

With 5 ashes tests to go i seriously doubt it.
They always claim it’s to rest bowlers. You can rest by getting them f**king out quicker!
I reckon this test is more important than the Ashes this year. Poms will doctor the pitches this year worse than India.
On top of that probably half the squad won’t be at the return Ashes so maybe they should toughen up a bit for their last hurrahs.

We have enough bowlers to rotate them now Hazlewood wont even be in the first 11.

Hey I’m not saying agree with it but it’s just what they’ll do. Some of times the last few years we haven’t enforced the follow on have been embarrassing. But they’ll trot out the line about managing bowling workloads. They haven’t played in months ffs!!

Boland and Nesser give us quality back up in English conditions, assuming that Haze gets a run in the first test.

Oh, and Ingerland bringing Ali back in, lol

Moeen is back to ensure there is still a Bald off in the spinners.

With Leach gone - Lyon needed a rival & Moeen is the perfect replacement.

Bumrah is a big loss for them, and a stupid name for most people. Their decision to not play R Ashwin is pretty bizzarre. Even if not effective bowling in the first innings, he can bat ok.
