This has been an excellent game so far, very entertaining Test cricket. They say that fortune favours the brave and England have proven this point thus far. Good luck to them if they go on and win it because they've been very entertaining to watch, and coming from a rusted on Aussie supporter, that's saying something.
Loved the field set to get Uzie in the first innings. Never seen that b4.

I wonder how Richie Benaud would have commentated this game. I think that Cummins has to learn a lesson from this, some of his tactics have been quite poor. Letting newbs to the crease have easy singles, poor bowling tactics including not hooking Boland when he was getting pumped. If we win, I figure the Poms will come back at us in the second Test, not fall apart.

can't believe they had such a deep field setting for the most important batting partnership of the game

and that first innings declaration ? lol

I think I like Bazball

It’s the best. Derp a first innings declaration, abuse the player of the match after you have to trick shot him out, slog yourself out and the set defensive fields as you scramble to try and save the match. Never change Pommies

Scary thing for the Poms I don’t think we can play much better than that, can they?? I thought they were the better team for most of that much and they still lost.
Marnus and Smithy could get amongst the runs. Head will explode at some point. We still have a few cards to play.

Yeah 100% England threw everything at us and still come up short.

I reckon they have change tact and produce green seamers again to bring there bowlers back into it. We are prone for a major collaspe under grey skies on a green deck.

They have neutralised the greatest strength was there swing bowling on seaming decks.

Lords is a bit of fortress for us as well.

While Edgbaston has been taken down in last 2 Ashes series - Where England had lost just once between 2001 & 2019 against all nations. So that will be hurting for them with that Advantage.

I don't think Ali will play again, they got a few players out and Captain Kiwi is only half fit.

I think they have a lot of improvement in them but so do we

If you ask Stuart Broad the result is a draw; we might have scored more runs than them, but saving test cricket means they also get a point.

So it is 1-1 with four tests to go.
