Warner was a deer in the headlights from ball 1 as he usually is. I turned it off but Im guessing Maxwell got out playing a reverse sweep?

The whole of cricket Australia needs a shake up, it’s reminds me eerily of the Eels.
Maybe BA should ring Boof up again looking to find himself an IPL or CA gig.

Couldn't be that hard instead of BA telling the lads to chase the collision. He can tell them to chase the ball instead while there at it.

Catch the bloody thing.

I reckon the players know that the country just does not care.
T20 world cups every couple of months has ruined the concept. They know it.

I said it in another thread limited overs cricket should experiment with some rule changes that favor the fielding team like my idea of a couple of fielders one either side of the wicket that can change field position during the bowlers run up. So for example, fine leg could sprint across to deep slip. It would mean really good communication is needed in the field and batsmen going arial would need to be a bit lucky as you could also have fielders on the boundary totally changing the position on the boundary they are at.

We suck at both Union and Cricket as our development sucks balls..

Cummins should never have been made captain and Smith should be the only one to be captain until he retires.

Macdonald is a terrible coach selection team full of nuffies
All it took was some sand on some paper.

Maybe the bowlers should just bowl better.

Nah.
The game is way better and more exciting when the ball is well and truly in the game - or even dominant.
Maybe the batsmen should just bat better rather than all the changes in the game over the last 30 years favoring the batsmen. Flat wickets, no rules about bats, protective gear, boundries coming in.
The flat wickets are repugnant.

Agree. That test series in India earlier this year where the ball was turning and keeping low from day 1 was enthralling. I know plenty of purists were saying the pitches were a disgrace but it was f**king good to watch batsmen trying all sorts just to survive. Way better than watching a Babar Azam or Davey Warner triple century on some piece of concrete motorway....

what a freakish display from Maxwell last night
I dont think we will see another innings from anyone like that ever again in an ODI.

To basically still have to score 200 runs and Maxi having to score 95% of them while you are 7 down will never happen again.

We talking 200 runs not just 100 runs.

If you still needed 100-120 even with 7 down you could squeak a few 50 runs partnerships together where Maxi could score the bulk but he had to do it for 200 runs.
