IMO no way

Konstas is far from ready, mind boggling a kid basically played FA first class cricket and people want him to open in test cricket. This ton he scored tonight isnt a sanctioned international, lot of lax rules, India missing Bumrah, zero pressure.

What should have happened , Smith should have stayed at opener and McSweeney at 4, where he has played most of his career. Inglis is part of the test squad, and could play as a batsman in the middle order

I do agree Konstas needs more time the only problem is we have no one else to open.

Smith never should have been moved to open McSweeney should have come in at 4.

They just need someone who will do whatever the BCCI tells them to do.... Toddy was a bit of a yes man from memory, except maybe when PVL took over, and I'm sure he has learned his lesson after that not to make waves.... He's perfect!!

We don't have anyone knocking down the door to get into the test squad either...

Renshaw was brought into the side young but dropped after a few shit games and now isn't anywhere need the test side again...

At least Renshaw puts value on his wicket.

The muppets batting for Australia at the moment just don't understand Test cricket.

harsh

I'd say out of form and give Bumrah some credit

Bumrah is absolutely phenomenal, and he's a big reason why we got trounced.

But I haven't seen that steely resolve to score a 300-ball tonne from any of our batsmen for a number of years.

I think a lot of our batsmen aren't content to block 100 balls to score 20 runs - which is what you need to do in Test cricket, sometimes.

It's why I rate Renshaw - he would fight tooth, and nail, for his runs, and would make the bowler work his wicket.

Renshaw doesn't play enough ramp shots against the new ball.... Put a line through him....

thats exactly what Labs tried to do and he was content to do it, he just couldn't survive Bumrah and he was hopelessly out of form

Marnus is a tough one he is still the future when you consider Smith and Khawaja are done in 18 months or earlier.

I still sort of don't think dropping him helps us long term especially as there is SFA demanding a spot in the top 6.

Though Marnus bowling medium pace lollipop bouncers in the 1st test.

It was almost on par with us using sandpaper on the ball when it comes to the dumbest and moat embarrassing things i have seen in a baggy green cap.

It was 3rd grade shit you see at Park Level.

Send him back to Club Cricket if I see that rubbish again
